Revolutionary road
Everyday morning you wake up and think what is to be done now?
Most of the people are not so free; they have works waiting for them. Chores to be done, errands to be run. They dont have any time to think about what will they do?
It is the same thing discussed in the movie REVOLUTIONARY ROAD. With a win of golden globe for best actress, this movie portrays a family in general and a couple in particular in the early 90s. Their life, their dreams ,their struggle for a better life, their compromises and in the end the way life goes.
The cast is huge with the Titanic couple back after a long time ,Kate winslet and Leonardo Dicaprio,in a different light from the romantic teenage lovers ,they have become the mature, immature married couple who wants to live a life not just lead it like all others.

A man only gets couple of chances in life, it wont be long for him to settle down and wonder how he got to be second rate
We cant go on pretending that this is the life we want?

But I have a back bone not to run away from the responsibilities
Who made these rules anyway?
Just because you got me safely in this silly trap you cant bully me to feel whatever you want me to feel
We can be happy here,

These are few lines which make the movie but each dialogue is in itself a great discussion. The helplessness cant get out of the situation. The uneasiness in compromising. The neighbours who knew it was jealousy that is making them think that the idea is ridiculous. Finally the world which is happy that nothing has changed from its dull routine, trying reason out the odd behaviour by contradicting itself .
Based on the book by Richard Yates and directed by Sam Mendes, this movies tells about a couple who always believe themselves to be special and different ,never trapped by the social confines of their era ,when they try to do something differently they start showing their weaknesses and in the end find themselves in the same routine they despised.
