What spurs you to write?
October 16th 2006 01:31
Inspirations, inspirations, inspirations!
That’s what I am telling my friends whenever they stared at me when I am on deep thoughts.
As a new blogger, I never really know how things works as I myself wasn’t very confident about what I am writing sometimes.
We have a pretty big group in this community, and when I read the works everyone’s publishing I truly admire the effort they put into.
Sometimes I feel hard to find topics to write about, and when I saw the topic “Do you need to read in order to write” by one of the bloggers here, I felt it was indeed true because newbies can’t really find inspiration out of no where, at least for me.
Nowadays whatever I read, I see the things around me, events or certain items that spurs me to think, I put it in words instead of just processing my brain for a while and forget about it.
What about the rest of this big community? What spurs you to write? Is it purely passion? How would you get by writing everyday?
And moreover Jon, if it’s ok for you, what spurs you to create this magnificent community for everyone to contribute their great works?

Yes I'm back and the beach was fantastic, thank you. We don't live very far and usually end up getting wet every weekend. It is always so revitalising and I feel truly blessed to be able to access it, so easily. I used ot live in the mountains - that was nice too, but as I get older I love the sea more I think.
Anyway, to your interesting post and to answer your question - EVERYTHING!
I am always writing, in my head, everywhere. I have little post it notes everywhere around the house with ideas and quatrans of thought on them. However, the worst for me is when I am in the shower and the very best thoughts come to me and I cannot write them down. I used to take my recorder in with me for a while and then the silly thing packed it in from all the steam. I';mm investigating one of those waterproof underwater ones now, because I get great ideas (it seems) whenever I am near water?
How about you, where do you get your best ideas,
Yes, thanks Jon, it is really fun and adictive, too - and you get to meet some really nice people. What I love the most is to see the sychronicity of thoughts in peoples heads as they bounce off each others words. That is usually lost in normal social circles. Very insightful and life afirming. A sure fire fast-tracking of evolution in my mind.
Lilla.

Thanks for dropping by!
Glad to know that you get to really enjoy the sea side all the time. ^_^
(Weekly is all the time for me)
As for me, nowadays I do my best to get inspiration from things happening around me, and also from articles, advertisements, etc.
I just managed to write out a post about "missing feeling" when my friend suddenly asked me something interesting. It might be a little foggy and perhaps the contents aren't really jelling to each other, but do have a read and tell me what you think?
