Roma left-back Vitorino Gabriel Antunes has welcomed the prospect of a move to Celtic, insisting: 'If something happens that allows me to come to Glasgow I would be playing for a massive club in the Champions League.
Celtic are ready to slug it out with Rangers for Watford's £2m-rated Nigerian defender Danny Shittu. Watford chairman Graham Simpson has confirmed interest from the SPL sides, but says no offers have been made.
Steven Davies' proposed move to Rangers is in doubt after Blackburn table a £3m bid for the Fulham midfielder.
Rangers target Marek Suchy is also attracting interest from England, France and Germany and is poised to make a decision on his future. The 20 year old Slavia Prague central defender's agent has said "It is possibility that Marek Suchy comes to England or Scotland, but he has offers from Germany and France too."
Hibs are still looking to strengthen the squad despite a lack of transfer activity so far this summer. Fabian Yantorno continues to train with the Edinburgh side, while Joe Keenan has impressed during a trial period. Keenan, 25, who started his career at Chelsea, struggled to hold a place at A-League side Melbourne Victory last season and is keen on a move to Scotland.
Kilmarnock have had an improved offer turned down for Linfield striker Peter Thompson. The bid, believed to be around £150k, is short of Linfield's valuation, but the player himself has told of his desire to play full-time in Scotland or England.
