There are a number of special posts which can be used to insert text in various places:
For text to appear at the top of each post, create a post with the title "Post Start Text" and for the bottom create a Post with the title "Post End Text".
A post with the title "Blog Top Text" will appear at the top of your blog.
For inserting text into your menu create posts with the short title:
Top Menu Section, Middle Menu Section, or Bottom Menu Section.
You need to set the Title of the Post to "Blogroll" or "Other great blogs" or whatever you want the menu section to be called.
Be careful what you put in the post so you don't create havoc with the menu formatting. One link per line.
