Spam mails! Don’t you hate them?

Spam mails! Argh….! I just hate them! They will come as they please and flood your entire mailbox with worthless “Free Advertisement”. I mean, how many “Viagra” advertisements do you need? None? Oh, how about weight lost pills, or penis enlargement lotion, and if you are satisfied with your physical outlook, how about a cheap Rolex to make you look better?
These are the daily spam mails I get and sometimes, I do wonder where they come from. Probably from bots surfing around looking for email address, or perhaps spyware that installed into your PC while you were surfing, reading through every single email address you have in your Outlook (or Thunderbird or Eudora – etc). Basically, they just want to flood your PC until you just get sick and tired of it, yet those few keywords like “Viagra” or “Rolex” remains in your mind like a broken recorder.
Recently my boss just asked me to help him to change his office based email address to another user name and close his current one as he has too many junk mails flooding in.

How many are they encountered the same problems and how do you overcome them?
Does changing to another email address, telling all your friends and contacts a wise move?

Oh gosh... sometimes that's really disturbing isn't it? Making you feel that everyone is so shallow and "size does matter"... even though we are happy of what nature has created us (in some way)

I think Yahoo mail (or in orginal Geocities Mail) was one of my very first web mail I got when I was first exposed to the Internet.
So, any problems with the Yahoo mail these days?

A Lesson A Day
I have had a Yahoo! Mail account since...since I could remember. It was also my first email account. And nope - never had any real problems with it.
Afterwards I got a domain email address too, for personal use.
About the spam. Yahoo! Mail has the functionality of marking messages as spam, and it adds the sender's address to a kind of black list (or spam list.) Very handy.

I also believe that Hotmail has the security feature of filtering only your contacts are not spammers.
However I have encountered that for certain mails like Friendster, the first few emails were all right but when your friends starts to approve your invitation and notification was sent to you, it becomes spam...
