Sounds Like a High Level Plan to Me

One of the most personally impacting verses found in God’s Word is II Corinthians 5:17, "If anyone be in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."
Too often, we live and think as if we are still the old creation. We even ask questions like, “how could God love someone with a past like mine, much less use me?” Well, here is what God said about us before we even had a past, "Before I shaped you in the womb, I knew all about you." God told Jeremiah, "Before you saw the light of day, I had holy plans for you.”
Have you ever considered that our life to this point has been no surprise to God because He knew all about it in advance? And even while He knew, it did not change His plans for us. In the same way God had holy plans for Jeremiah, so He also has holy plans for us.
If it is so simple on paper, why is it so complex in real life? It is because God is not the only one who has plans for us - there are two other sets of plans competing against God's plan. One set is our plans and the other set is the devil's plans. Neither of these can compare with God’s plans, yet most of us choose one or both of them instead of going with God's plan; and that choice really complicates things. The only way to keep it simple is to follow God’s plan. But then it would be about Him and not about us – and that is where the real conflict enters the picture.
God has a design for our lives and when we allow Him to complete it; then our lives are fulfilled and complete – not to mention His purpose is accomplished through us. Why settle for low level plans (ours and the devils), when we can be the completion of a plan at the highest level?
"I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
