An alternative reality
I strive
And hike
Yet I never get nowhere, you see

From this stuff that seems to capture me

A rollercoaster riding free
Though it rarely

To get so very high, you see

This alternative reality
Seems key
To see
All the things that in this life can be
So free
Appearing
So fast to me

Running up
And down
And occasionally quite steadily

So full
Of fun
That's how I wish it all could be
Perhaps
In time
I might locate that golden key
And open
Up
That door that leads to greatest glee

Alive In Existence

I'd say it is a rather absurd existence
Where nothing really seems to make sense
As everything I think about just seems to escape
Like a great chariot across a big fence
Oh are we really alive in existence?
Sometimes I wonder whether it is so
Oh are we really alive in existence?
I sometimes think the answer has to be no

Sometimes my life seems so absurd and feeble
I don't know what to do or say or think
The world seems such a crush of minds and people
As life is passing by in just a blink
Oh are we really alive in existence?
Sometimes I wonder whether it can be
Oh are we really alive in existence?
The only thing to do is wait and see

How long will it take
To find out what life all means?
Can I somehow make
Some sense from all these mad scenes?

I'd say it is a deeply absurd existence
Where nothing really seems to add up
Will I ever be capable of understanding
The stuff that gets poured into life's cup?
Oh are we really alive in existence?
Now I'm wondering if it can be true
Oh are we really alive in existence?
I just can't answer that great question - can you?

How long will it take
To work out what it all means?
Can I somehow make
Some sense from all these mad scenes?

In Love With Sam

Oh yes, I really am
In love with Squealy Sam
Oh how in love I am

When she was young and shy
I used to see her cry
It wasn't very nice
So scared was she of mice
But even worse than that
If she should see a cat
She'd run away so fast
The room would be aghast
But oh the worst thing for
Samantha's nerves to store
Was something very wee
With legs so long and free
If she should see a spider
Something would snap inside her
She'd break into a panic
And go completely manic
She'd rush around the hallway
Then out through the front door
You wouldn't see her all day
A week or even more

But, yes, I really am
In love with Squealy Sam
She loves her Steely lamb
Oh how in love I am

I helped her through her terrors
And ironed out her errors
To make her see that creatures
Had fairly harmless features
And wouldn't hurt her slightly
Unless she held them tightly
And as for little spiders
That race of harmless hiders
They didn't ask for much
Except to keep from clutch
Now Sam is so much better
No spider can upset her
She'll even brave to hold
A spider, oh so bold
She does it oh so gentle
Now far from tempramental
I think she is the best
You'll scarcely see her shy
She'd make a perfect nest
With such a bloke as I

And yes I really am
In love with Squealy Sam
She loves her Steely man
As I love Squealy Sam
As I love Squealy Sam
Oh how in love I am!
