Change to www.strangesituations.com

September 21st 2006 11:01
Just incase you have been wondering why I haven't been posting on this blog for a while, it is because I have shifted to www.strangesituations.com

This is the upgrade and I am now an accepted part of the orble community. So feel free to go to this site and read the continuations of more awkwardly/strange situations which I find myself in, or hope not to find myself in.

There are plenty of jokes which usually poke fun at something or people of a particular ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religion or size of people. Which of these is the most awkward when someone of that type overhears you asking it?

The Irish are often joked about, but I believe they are probably used to it.

Mainly I believe it depends on whether the person has a say in what they are. For example people are born a particular race or from a particular country, so they aren't so bad. The difficult ones are the ones that people have made a choice to live a particular lifestyle. Are gay jokes worse than fat jokes? I believe these two are probably the most awkward.

I will say gay jokes are the worst, because someones sexuality is such an important part of the way they live. So be careful next time you are telling gay jokes. They are probably the most common jokes too!

Are G Strings Cheap Looking

September 6th 2006 19:56
Call me old fashioned, but isn't underwear supposed to be just that, underwear?

I have been in several situations where I have seen females and one time a male wearing a G String which rides up above their pants. Is nothing sacred anymore?

Another socially awkward experience was on the London Underground where the lady across from me was wearing a blouse with too many buttons undone and no brasseire on.

It is very difficult in close quarters not to stare, because a piece of you wants to. Do these people mainly females do it for attention or is it more a case of flimsy clothing which rides up leaving them exposed?

The Size of Your Package!

September 4th 2006 10:37
It is funny how in life some things are never realistically discussed. One of those things is penis size. No male wants people to think he is underdone downstairs. His manhood is under threat if people thought he had a small penis. Therefore it is unwritten law that guys talk up the size of theirs in order to avoid the potential embarrassment of actually having the smallest pecker in his group of mates.

Whenever I see guys with massive exhausts, dtiving at speeds way over the limit I put it down to compensation for his Johnson. Other times when everyone else is buying small drinks and someone buys a large, it is compensation. When no one wants to use the left lane when there is a passing lane it might as well say "Small penises left lane

Looks or Personality

September 2nd 2006 22:45
What is it that attracts us to the right person? I find that in my younger days all wanted was someone with the right dimensions, no matter what was between the ears. There are heaps of theories around, as heaps of sayings which jump on one side of the debate.

"Beauty is only skin deep

Personal Space

September 1st 2006 17:34
What is up with some people who get into your personal space and start talking? The conversations get awkward as you slowly back away whilst they almost back you into a corner. I wonder what determines social space?

Close talkers as they are known are very socially awkward, but it gets worse if they suffer from bad breath or are people who spit when they talk. What can be done in these situations

Women in the Men's Toilet

!

While this is more lavish than your average Underground toilet, it is the only photo I have. It actually belonged to the great Sherlock Holmes. He would've spent plenty of time solving crime mysteries there

Public Nudity

August 28th 2006 23:01

My experiences in Europe have opened my eyes to different cultures and the way that certain daily practices are considered fundamental in some cultures, yet in others they are frowned upon. This is especially true with public nudity. The beaches are full in the height of summer and comparing beaches in New Zealand with those in Europe are like chalk and cheese. Firstly I am not saying that I disapprove of nudity on beaches, but it takes getting used to

The London Underground or Tube as it is colloquially referred to is an interesting place with so many different people onboard. It is an odd scenario with people from different backgrounds sharing a confined space for such a short period in time, when usually these people would never mix socially and will never meet again. The common bond is transportation and getting from A to B. This means that for most it is a time to put in the earphones and listen to music, some read books or newspapers, others sleep, but some find it a time to make up for lost time and further their knowledge of their partner.

This act of Public Display of Affection is frowned upon amongst the traditional types of people like myself. Yet in the Underground where everyone avoids eye contact, let alone talking, no one batters an open eyelid at the concept of two people kissing and going at it with one another. I find this concept bizarre, as in most public places these people would be too embarrassed to try such pursuits, yet in the sanctuary of the tube where even looking at someone who is a stranger is a no no, kissing a partner is considered fine. This to me, stinks of hypocrisy
