Social Networking Reflects Society
July 4th 2009 13:16
I don't belong to any social network on the web. Putting yourself out on the internet may not always be a good thing. I do have a lot of friends that use social networks and love them.
It seems that the two big social networks may be reflecting society as a whole. MySpace is being compared to a digital ghetto. Facebook seems to be taking on a whole new type of 'white flight' according to the article.
Whether this is true or not, there are always exception to the rules. There are people who attend both networks. Some of my friends that fit the article's profile hang-out at the other network.
