10 Great Valentine's Day Gifts
February 4th 2008 21:33
Valentine's Day has come around again, and you still haven't gotten her a gift, have you? Have no fear, for I am here! Okay that rhyme was a little cheesy but I couldn't help myself. After all V-Day is all about cheesy romance stuff. Of course, showing your love and level of commitment also comes into play, but no pressure.
I've compiled a list of ten great gift ideas. Some may not be for your woman, but there should be at least one that hits the mark. I'm hoping you know her well enough to figure that out.
1. Red Roses – This is most certainly for the cliché and lazy man. A good idea would be to include a love note telling her how you feel.
2. Box of Chocolates – This is also very cliché and kind of lazy, but it works. A good idea would be to include this with number one.
3. Teddy Bear – It's always just a cute thing to do. If you have a Build-A-Bear Workshop near you, things are even easier. That's the place to go!
4. Heart Pendant – This is a great one. Nothing says "I love you" like giving her your heart on a chain. Make sure you know her preference in jewelry before you get this, there are so many different ways you could go with this.
5. Lingerie – My only suggestion with this is that you make sure your relationship is at a correct point in time when this is acceptable. You don't want to ruin things, especially on Valentine's Day.
6. Perfume – Make sure you know her favorite perfume; you'll score bigger points.
7. Earrings – More jewelry. You can't go wrong with jewelry, as long as you know her preference. Make sure you know whether or not her ears are pierced. There are also different backs to ear rings, so if you get the chance beforehand scope out what she has to make sure you get the correct ones.
8. A Ring That Symbolizes a Promise – Rings are great if you want to convey that you really love her, because whether it's an engagement ring or just a V-Day gift, a ring style symbolizes commitment.
9. Make Her Something – Something simple like a collage of pictures taken throughout your relationship, or things that will remind you both of events that happened.
10. Cook Her Dinner – My experience is, this always works. Make sure you know what she likes/doesn't like and if she has any allergies! That's crucial. Also, have a breakfast recipe ready
If all else fails, you can always take her out to dinner!
