Im in New Mexico. Waiting to swap out. Thats right. I dont get to go back to the shop and get my gages fixed. Oh hell no. Im swapping loads with another driver and going back west again. What gages, I dont need no stinking gages! At least the boss doesnt think I do.
Ive about had enough of this crap. So, when I get to the scales at Cajon, Im gonna make sure they pull me in for a safety check. I really need an inspection! Theyll red tag the truck, send for a tow-truck to drag me and my whole load all the way to the Kenworth place in Fontana. The boss can coff up about $1500 for the tow job! Its under warranty and he could have gotten it fixed for free. Now he gets to pay out the ass, instead. Oh darn. Hes such a brilliant businessman, he spends a bundle for nothing.
If this was the first time it happened, it would be one thing. But it aint the first time! Last time we got new trucks, over half of them broke down from the same problem. Did he think to have the trucks checked out, oh hell no. He got to pay for towing and expensive repairs for almost every truck in the fleet before he was done.
Some people just never learn, I guess.
