Prince of Persia

May 27th 2010 09:37
I was lucky enough to win free tickets the advanced screening for Prince of Persia last night and I must say I enjoyed every minute of it. I wasn't expecting much from the movie at first but I loved the story line, characters and special effects. It was definately a bit of a suprise being a disney film. Definately a must watch for all movie lovers.

Custom Web Fonts

May 21st 2010 10:36
When designing a website its sometimes hard to keep it looking unique and fresh especially when your stuck using the standard Verdana and Arial fonts that we are now so very accustomed to. Well, this is now a thing of the past, at least for modern web browsers.

CSS3 has brought in a great new feature which allows you to embed the font and allows the use of any font you can think of! Now its not entirely a new feature. It was proposed for CSS2 however it was never implemented. Even Internet Explorer has support for @font-face since IE5, however its wasn't used in any other browsers which made it pretty much useless.

But now with CSS3 and the fact that IE has its own way of supporting fonts we can now use the @font-face to apply any font to websites without relying on images or changing to a web based font. What great news for web designers and developers.

Earth Hour

March 27th 2010 00:56
Earth hour 2010 will be on Saturday the 27th of March at 8:30pm. For one hour the world will go dark as people turn off there lights to help against the effects of climate change. Don't forget to do your part by turning off your lights and sitting around candles for one hour of the year. Maybe grab your family and play a board game, or go camping in your backyard and tell ghost stories. Whatever your doing know that by turning out your lights you are helping against the effects of climate change.

Hollywood Style Death Note

March 21st 2010 02:11
Warner Bros. has obtained the rights to turn the popular anime and manga series Death Note into a Hollywood film. Japanese culture fans seem doubtful that this will be a high rating movie at the box office especially due to previous anime/manga adaptions into hollywood films such as Speed Racer and Dragonball Evolution. Other anime/manga set to hit the hollywood screen include The Last Airbender, Akira and Ghost in the Shell.

March 21st 2010 02:09
Japanese content producer E-Junex has recently released a set of anime keyboards designed to make keyboards a lot more visually appealling to consumers but especially designed to hit true otaku. These special keyboards featuring the artwork of Tony Taka and Carnelian are currently retailing for about $100 through Akihabara, one of Tokyo’s geek culture captials, where you can purchase anything from gadgets, junk food, anime books to pretty much anything electrical you can think of.

Free Hosting and Free Domain names

March 21st 2010 01:56
I've spent quite a bit of time looking into free hosting and domain name options over the years. Having not that much money to be able to afford hosting or a domain name I wondered whether it was possible to setup a website without actually having to purchase
anything. From constant research and testing of different hosting/domain sites I can say it is quite possible to setup a website for free.

I'm a big fan of Neopets so here is an article on making neopoints. If you haven't heard of Neopets before I suugest you go and sign up. While it may seem a bit childish its so much fun!

On to making neopoints. Simply play the games listed below to make 7k in 30 minutes. Of course the times will vary slightly depending on internet speed, how quickly you can load the game and whether you get caught up with any advertisements before the game. The average neopoints were calculated on the lowest amount I thought you would make from the game. I even rounded down in some cases so you can expect to earn more than what I have listed below. Of course if your great at games then good for you and expect to earn more than what I listed below
