American psychological thriller. Directed by Darren Aronofsky. One of the best movies of all times. Black and white, tense, scary, creepy, geeky. Tells the story of a mathematican trying to solve the equation controlling the stock market.
Darren Aronofsky is the director of Requiem for a Dream, The Wrestler and The Fountain
Directed by Peter Jackson, based on a book by Oxford University professor, J.R.R. Tolkien.
I am absolutelly love in it. Amazing, great camera work, great special effects made by a staff of amazing artists. Great acting - that guy playing Frodo is awesome. No doubt three parts of the series are listed as one of IMDB's greatest movies.
Done by Steven Spielberg, nice to watch. Too bad there are only ten. Definiely in the same league as LOST, but Taken touches upon very different matter - UFO and outerspace. There is death, blood, there are gore scenes. First episode (as far as I remember) takes place during second world war, but the latest is set in more or less modern times. I loved the music there and acting. Taken won Emmy Award
While most of people praise Paul Kersey who plays Charles Bronson in Death Wish, I do not actually neither like those movies nor appreciate his acting skills. Simple, repetetive, each part of series does not differ much from any other part, they are all the same. And there is 5 of them, well. I liked the atmosphere in the movies, that '80 New York or Los Angeles mood of old criminal thrillers. But that is all.
