Certified Health & Fitness Instructor, Life Coach and Personal Trainer, Simone Petersen has been operating worldwide since 1997 with both private & group clientele. An acclaimed Swimming and Triathlon Trainer, Miss Petersen has competed and coached at State, National & International levels in the sports of Outrigger Canoeing, Triathlon, Surf Life Saving, Track & Field, Rugby Union/League, Dragon Boating and Kayaking. Formerly a chartered accountant with Ernst & Young (Australia), Simone was appointed Director of Marketing & Corporate Communications (Asia Pacific Region) for the multinational company CB Richard Ellis based in Hong Kong for a 4 year period. As such, she brings a welcome degree of professionalism to all aspects of her physical and mental Health & Fitness ventures. Simone looks forward to returning permanently to her hometown of Brisbane in 2012.

Gay and lesbian couples across Australia and around the world want to marry to publicly share their love and commitment with one another and with friends and family members. As a bi-national same sex couple for many years, it is imperative that marriage equality is recognized at both the State AND Federal level for innumerable reasons, including the critically important immigration rights which will be granted to prevent us being torn apart. Without marriage equality, THOUSANDS of same sex couples worldwide, including Ruth and I, will be required to choose whether to live together abroad in exile, or be ripped apart. Not only is marriage equality the 'right thing to do', as the head of Morgan Stanley recently stated, it's also 'good for business' in New York and for the Nation as a whole. Equal = Equal. 'ALL FALL DOWN' at NYMF after 'WISHFUL DRINKING' with Carrie Fisher on Broadway

Simone Petersen is so very glad she decided against stopping off for a couple of chocolate martinis on her way to 'ALL FALL DOWN' at NYMF (the New York Musical Theatre Festival) following some 'WISHFUL DRINKING' with Carrie Fisher at Studio 54 on Broadway.

A queer celeb that did SO VERY MUCH for the community even when it was NOT fashionable to do so was the WONDERFUL Bernard King. It was MORE than DISGRACEFUL the way that both the straight AND gay media AND many of his fans IGNORED him when he passed away. Apart from his adoring family and TRUE friends, the only people of note who attended his funeral in Brisbane were Tamara Tonight (Rod Patterson), Maria Venuti, The Petersen Family and Annette Alison. He should be memorialized in all future Mardi Gras Parades with a 'Special Float'. He was the ORIGINAL and ENDURING "KING OF QUEENS" (Simone L. Petersen)
