Body parts seem to growing bigger, longer and poutier every year. No part of the body seems to be safe. There’s even a procedure to break your knees for those few extra inches, quite inviting to all those midgets out there. The fact that you can’t walk for the next six months is just an afterthought for most body-conscious people.
Flipping through a Ralph magazine the other day, the women seem to possess more plastic than Barbie and Ken put together, quite an achievement for all plastic surgeons.
Men themselves are not adverse to this phenomena, penis enlargements and hair re-growth. In the 21st century, the metro-sexual has emerged. As I walk down the street, I see one and think, ‘Is masculinity supposed to be so pretty?’.
I’d be lying if I did the “bigger is beautiful” and “inner beauty” talk. If you are beautiful, you may get better service, a better job and maybe a better spouse. Because subconsciously we believe that, if it looks good, it must be good. But to all the beautiful people out there, understand that your looks will wither and turn to dust as the years flit by you. Botox will not save you. Beauty is fleeting and eternal youth is impossible. So have something you have achieved not concerning your looks, because when it all vanishes and you become like everyone else, life can be a real bitch.
