Nashville Auditions Theater

March 7th 2009 05:23
Stand & Deliver: an Exploration of Manhood.

A U D I T I O N S

This new play which is a study of masculinity through the eyes of gay and straight, and in between, women, men, and children alike. This play, which is a Nashville based project, and is written by some of Nashville's brightest minds, covers such subjects as the roles of gender, how they are perceived, pornography, masturbation, molestation, and the different interpretations of masculinity by society nowadays. These ideas are conveyed by a series of monologues, dialogs, poetry and prose, in the style of The Vagina Monologues and Read Our Lips.
William Prater

Covering both the comedic and serious, this show has something to offer everyone. And here's how you can be a part? Do you have something interesting to say or a different perspective on
masculinity? Do you want to share that on stage? We are looking for performers/writers who are interested in sharing your perspective onstage. rehearsals will be twice a week with Performances taking place April 24-26 at venues around Nashville.

Review | House of the Holy Afro

March 7th 2009 05:02
There's nothing more to be said except get along and see this show!

You will rarely get such a kooky collection of images and sounds and feel so strangely connected to them. The music is non stop for ninety minutes, the performances are fantastic and the atmosphere needs nothing more than an audience to get right into it. You!

You will enjoy this show if you like African music, a little kooky humor and high energy performance - one of the biggest and best bargains of the Adelaide Fringe! The venue is great, open bar through the show, plenty of good vibes and really outstanding live performance mixed with brilliant decking by a fantastic DJ. Seriously there's not much around on the club scene that compares, and if you are the sort who goes out to hear a bit of doff doff doff regularly - you'll get into this as well.

Unleash your inner black and serve some stomping tribal boodie on the floor as you watch.

See the most provocative and stimulating visual art event of the Adelaide Fringe

Australia Post won't process the invitations through the mail, the press won't print the title of the exhibition, even the Fringe guide has blacked out the image and one of the words in the title and a doco crew is following the artist to Adelaide
