We normally chatted over burgers but Scott was silent this evening. We hadn't been fighting. In fact, the last date we'd had was the best. We'd gone for a long walk in the park. Scott had opened his heart to me, revealing his hopes and dreams. I shared mine with him as well. I thought we were on the same path in life and we'd walk it hand in hand.
