Shark Attack and Mobile Phones

Hello again
A piece in todays Christchurch Press caught my eye, which for people who live outside of NZ, it can be seen under The Stuff NZ website under newspapers hopefully. It is titled How It Feels and today is about what it is like to be attacked by a great white shark!
Allan Oppert reveals what it was like and I was amazed and also at the same time thinking rather him than me. Well worth reading but to cut it short, Allan survived although the shark did bite him above the knees and he admits that when he felt the sharks teeth upon the bone, it hurt just a tad, so he is there with his legs in the sharks mouth and face to face with it's massive head, which left him thinking, this isn't good.
He got spat out with his new knife already inside of the shark and three quarters of his spear gun in the gullet too, he managed to get to the surface, realising that he only had about 10secs before it came to finish him. I don't know about you but I would have totally freaked out by this time but his mates just managed to pull him into the boat as the shark attacked the propeller and anchor. Allan survived with a stay in hospital for 6 days and 3 weeks before being able to walk again. Very lucky I reckon.
Now the weather here has been very hot today, about 24 deg on the in board car temp gauge and should nice tomorrow too
Saw a feature on the news last night but forgot to mention it last night, they ran a story about how phones have evolved from the brick of the eighties to what we have now. Although it seems you can still buy the old style ones as retro pieces. Then they showed some vid of two people dressed up as black mobiles running along a busy street, taking a passerbys phone off them and smashing it to bits as they are anti mobile phone league or something?? But not sure if it's a spoof or not and that would be crim damage and two people in mobile phone suits can't really hide in the crowd can they??
Although even though I text etc, I do think mobiles are bit of a pain, as something else to carry around, lose, drop, replace etc. Can anyone remember what it was like before we had them?? That's right we actually used to talk to each other, make plans and stick by them and had some peace and quiet too.
Some good websites on Marcus Aurelius too if anyone interested?
Picked up a funny book called Curious Thoughts today, some funny little sayings in them too. This one was under The meaning of Life - 'God's suranme is not known- but it's very unlikely to be Zilla and talking of the meaning of life, there is a really funny sceen in the movie Life of Brian, which is set in Pilate's Palace, can't really reproduce it here but it begins when Brian tells Pilate that his father was a Roman called Naughtius Maximus, might be on Google or just have to rent the movie.
Thought for the day or evening whenever you read this? Is from God's Little Instruction Book for Men 'The world is blessed most by men who do things, and not by those who merely talk about them' sorry ladies I haven't got the little instruction book for woman.
