damn, you guys look like your trying to write a book, ^^ I like your take on this, still makes me want to watch it just to see if it can still dash my hopes. I just hope the ending is a little better than "30 Days of Night" I mean crying in his girlfriends arms as he burns to a crisp...didn't get into

You have quite a few good points. To each his own. Almost the best sawing for deciding movies.

Good list, I have actually seen about half of those. I wouldn't agree with "Hellboy" and "King Kong." But those other that I saw were great.Glad to finally hear a good mention of "Sin City" but ontop of that, "No Country for Old Men" "District 9" "30 Days of night" "A History of Violence" "Shaun of the Dead" and "HANNIBAL!"!!! This is a great selection to start with. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one locally of which appreciates a good dark humored horror.
Through those 15 years critiquing, you good sir, have found some fantastic films. I could even spout off another 5 from this list. Bravo.

I also just got to see "An American Werewolf In London"
A decent werewolf movie, sad it was more funny that scary, and gory. Not to say I still didn't like it. "A good cup of tea...just not the best."

I can haven't seen all these movies, but from what I've seen, right on. Although it is a shame that "Inglorious Basterds" isn't up there. Is it wrong to like the way Quentin Tarantino makes killing Nazi's both repulsive and disturbingly satisfying. Back to the movies at hand, I totally forgot that "Splinter" was made this year. Which also puts a point in my mind to watch it, seemed like one of those movies where some F@#%ed up S@$% happens and people die in a neat new way, I just hope it has some scare to it besides the gore. Speaking of scare, what would you recommend as a horror movie that has good acting and all that stuff, regardless of gore, suspenseful to the point that you get paranoid and unexpected crap pops up out of nowhere. I haven't found to many movies like that. Something akin to the feeling of watching "quarantine" unknowing to what it would be like, and alone in a large creepy pitch black basement. Any recommendations? I tend to get a little long winded.

Maybe this will be the werewolf movie I've been looking for. I'm still searching for more though, never enough.

I'm not sure if you have seen this movie, but while reading the reviews it struck me, a messed up movie, and as far as I know, an original, stupid yet awesome story. I believe it is a new release. "Midnight Movie" that's its name and its the last new movie that I saw that was entertaining, for the horror genre.

dang, I got the title mixed up, not "Species" I meat to type "Splicer." My bad.
K I'll check those out, also since I found this site, I just realized I still havent seen "The Shining." I just love thos old classics. Nothing better than introducing an original idea.

I am such a big fan of the Halloween movies, I love those old John Carpenter films.

By the way, I saw Stephen King's "It" I'm 18, I used to thing clowns were a little odd. Now that movie probly just pushed me past the line, haha, but seriously, most disturbing clown ever

Sometime, for the movies I havent seen, I should be taken out back, instead of Uwe Boll.
