Seeing Florida part 4

Wow, I’ve made it successfully to my 4th post for this blog series. Maybe I will actually be able to keep up on this. So if you’re someone who has been following since the start, thank you. I’m already making little tweaks here and there as I learn and get better with these and I hope all of you enjoy the pictures and little factoids I am throwing in there as well. These past few days I’ve just been digging through all the photo’s I already have taken throughout the last few years and sharing those.
So today’s set of pictures will take place in the theme park settings. This first picture is from Busch Gardens in Tampa Florida and it is of the Sheikra roller coaster. Sheikra is a floorless dive coaster that drops 200 feet down a 90 degree hill and reaches speeds over 60 miles per hour and includes another smaller hill with an 81 degree hill drop. The name is from an African bird that dives straight down for it’s prey. This is my favorite of their rides.
The second picture is of the Cheetah Hunt roller coaster in Busch Gardens Tampa. This ride opened up in May of 2011 and is without a doubt the most popular ride there at this time. If you don’t catch it right at the opening of the day you will most likely experience waiting times of 45 minutes or longer on the weekends. It is a launch type coaster that reaches speeds or 60 miles per hour.
The third picture set comes from Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios and it’s of the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. It is a ride that is an elevator that goes wrong and you drop several times in the dark. The story is that the hotel was struck by lightning and it caused the elevator to be transported into the Twilight Zone. The ride is fun and freaky and I love the attention to detail Disney has on all their rides and even in the waiting lines.
All these photo’s were taken with my Canon Powershot a720is.
Well, that wraps up today’s pictures. As always, thanks for reading and your continued following. See you tomorrow….
