Nice interview Jase. Good to see a proper interview where the jurno digs deep for some good content rather than just skirting the surface. Very insightful.

As for Thommo. Nice work mate. It's a great flick. Heres hoping it goes well

on Balibo $6

Hi guys. Okay. So there's been a bit of backlash. So lets clear the air. This is my opinion and I live in a free country where everyone has the right to an opinion. If you don't like it. That's your opinion. But this is a review by a person. And everyone sees things differently. You call me a pubescent teenager but you lot sound like twelve year old girls. End of argument.

I have paramount respect for the story of the Balibo Fibe. As I said they don't teach it in schools so years ago I took it upon myself to study and learn about it. I just felt that they did not do the story the justice that it deserved. I followed the film. If you read the review again. It clearly states, if you don't know the backstory.

So. Abuse. Anonymous. Ease up mate. Again. It's an opinion. I higlight that I'm a film maker so readers understand where I'm coming from when I write a review. Not to gloat. But I guess you're just jealous.

David. If I did make backyard porn, you could star as a slave boy.

This is who I am. The style of writing is different because I'm not Jason. Jason and I are good friends and he asked me to write because I see thing differently and can offer a different opinion.

As for film making. I have recieved government funding to make a film. What do you have to say about that. This is a forum not a battle. There's no need to Try and hurt me. Because honestly. I just laughed. In saying those comment you are just acting like children.

I've had my say. Read my next review. I dare you.

on Chapter 27 - ($13.50)

Hey guys. This is one of the better films - performance wise - I've seen in some time.

Morgan. In response to your comment. Jared Leto gained 67 pounds - a bit over 30 kilos - for Chapman. If you haven't already seen it. Then do. It's well worth it.

Jake. Fair point about the money. I would guess that he had been saving for years. And also it was 70's/80's so jobs were mch easier to come and paid better than say, Hoyts in 2009 (no offence boss).

Okay. Whilst I don't want to be called anything to do with Harry potter - except for the bloke who hooks up with Emma Watson (it'll happen) - I have to agree with JK. The film was rubbish. The story had no structure. Acting was often poor. What was with the colour grading?

But I do have to pose a question. Who liked No Country For Old Men? Coen Brothers made that pretty much page for page. Why couldn't they attempt that with Harry?

I k ow the booms are big but in 2 and a half hours they could have stuck closer to the story. And as for "shit blowing up", I love that. I want to make films like that. It sells. People enjoy it. Jason brought up roller coasters. People love them because it gives them a rush, a thrill that try otherwise can't experience in everyday life. Explosions in films do that too.

G'day Guys

Thanks for all the welcomes and comments. It's good to be writing for Salty Popcorn. Bring on the red carpets!!!

Anyway, in reply to the questions of Groundhog Day, I have the same opinion as Jason. Seen it on tv way to many times. But still a fun movie.

I'm not entirely sure what you need/want me to tell you, except that when it comes to reviews, I'll be here to give you the film makers side of things.

Looking forward to chatting with you guys.

Sean
