Sea Ranch...

...California. We spent seven whole glorious days, that felt like fourteen. Steps from the Pacific and a seven mile ocean bluff trail. This was just the respite we needed and deserved.
It was a two bedroom glass home, huge fireplace in the main room that overlooked the ocean and meadow that was thriving with wildlife. The kitchen was great and what always makes a good or bad vacation for me is a dishwasher, yes a dishwasher, I ask very little of the world. The master bedroon came complete with bath and a gas fireplace, this also over-looked the ocean, and just outside the patio doors was a spa tub with room for six, I actually stewed in it and looked as if I was on a low simmer. It was grand.
The weather was atypical for the coast, lots of sun and warm to hot weather, usually cool mist and layers of clothing. Yet, I still managed to have a fire everynight and every morning as I awoke at 5:30am, I did not want to miss a thing.
The best part of the trip, we got to bring our five year old, eighteen pound orange tabby, aptly named Dude, The Dude. Made it a worry free vacation not having to fret about the cat being alone and what-not.
All in all it was great just to be able to get away, anywhere!
