As technology rises, music does too.
We are entering a new era where electronic devices and Facebook rule, and are also helping the world to stay connected.
I bet we can have access to music we couldn't have possibly heard 10 or even 5 years ago. With YouTube, Twitter and other social networks that are becoming more and more popular, bands have more chances of being heard by the entire globe when they are just starting and not just their friends passing their other friends a CD with a demo or by playing the local bars and venues.
Yes, with internet and these stuff comes piracy, but it can sometimes be a good thing to get the chance to be known and listened to. I am not saying that I totaly agree with it, in fact it's illegal, yes, and I'm a physical album buyer, I simply love them, but I cannot deny the fact that it opens a lot of doors for musicians and bands.
This is the aim of this blog. To give bands and listeners the possibility to show their music and listen to new songs, without caring which side of the globe we are. I am from Argentina and I still have access to millions and millions of bands that deserve a chance to be known, because sharing your music is one of the most amazing things that can happen to artists.
So all of you Screenagers that use your free time to chat with your friends on Facebook, say what you're doing in 140 words or watch videos on YouTube, you are given the possibility to get to know some songs that might be with you for the rest of your life, even maybe be the song for your wedding, who knows?
I guess that should do for a welcoming post. Welcome aboard to this little project of mine, my name is Sofia and I will be guiding you through different seas: rock, indie, alternative, rap, pop and whatever you want to listen.
xoxo
