Goodfellas TV on the Way??

Entertainment website Deadline this week reported that a possible TV series based on Martin Scorsese's 1990 mob classic, Goodfellas, may be in the offing.
Whilst there are no reports on Scorsese's involvement, or appearances from any of the stunning original cast, it is believed that Nicholas Pileggi, who wrote the script for the original movie, will be on board to write at least the pilot episode.
Warner Bros, who distributed the original film, are said to be leading the bidding war for the series.
