Scarf Stitch

I call this the "scarf stitch" because I make a lot of scarves using this stitch. It's easy!
Materials:
Worsted weight yarn
Size J crochet hook
To make a scarf using this stitch, ch 24.
Row 1: 2 dc in 3rd ch from hk, * sk 2 ch, 3 dc in next ch, rep from * across (24 dc).
Row 2: Ch 3, turn, sc in sp between first dc groups, * ch 3, sc in sp between next dc groups, rep from * across, sc in last dc (8 ch 3 sp).
Row 3: Turn, sl st into 1st ch 3 sp, ch 3, 2 dc in same sp, 3 dc in next ch 3 sp and in each ch 3 sp across (24 dc).
Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until scarf reaches desired length, fasten off.
Weave in ends.
Fringe scarf if desired.
