Saying I'm Sorry

When you make a mistake, you have to say that you are sorry. I just had to do this.
I made a mistake and crossed a line with a friend and had to apologize. I knew right away that I had and had to make amends. The first thing that I did was immediately text, since we weren't together, and tell her that I was sorry.
The next thing that I had to do was give her time to stew, because I knew that she was upset with me. Then I sent her a more heartfelt apology and waited for her to respond. I didn't think that she would and she did not.
I sent her another text the next day and asked her forgiveness. She gave it to me, but made sure that I knew she was unhappy. I agreed and told her that I would never make that mistake again.
It may take a while for me to get in her good graces again. I have work to do. But I am willing to do whatever it takes.
When you make a mistake no matter whether it' dating or being in a relationship with someone admit that you are wrong and say you are sorry. Immediately. Then do whatever it takes to atone for your mistake.
It will make you feel better and save a friendship.
