It Is Well!!

Alright, alright, I am going to go into some music that is dear to my heart. I am a faith filled woman who loved Jesus. There is a song out there that always brings tears to my eyes and has helped me get through the toughest of times. For example…3 miscarriages. Even if you don’t listen to Christian music…this one is worth 5 minutes and 39 seconds of your time. It is by Selah and it is called It is well with my Soul. It’s powerful words remind you that no matter what is going on in your life, everything can be just fine. Have faith and keep your trust in Jesus and everything will be well with your soul. It can be peaceful. The beginning of the song is a bit weird. I don’t know what language they are singing in…but it sounds beautiful. A life with Jesus is peaceful, and this is the point the song is trying to make. The duet with the two singers is beautiful, they sound so great together. I personally love it when the woman comes and sings, her voice is so powerful and beautiful…I only wish I could sing half as good as her.

Our First Journey Together

I am going to start in reality. Life is stressful and there is a song out in the world that in my opinion...tells it all! It is a song that I am sure not many people have heard, nor expect. It is Emmy Rossum-Slow Me Down. Life is fast and stressful in these hard times of gas prices and job loss. Sometimes we just need to slow down a bit and breathe. Look this song up and listen to it. Her voice is absolutely beautiful and relaxing, yet she describes the fast pace life perfectly and says what the majority of us are thinking. Emmy does the background voices in this song and I personally think it is amazing. She speaks of forgetting her purpose because the pace of the world is so fast. We all need to remember to slow down and live our lives. Don’t let it all pass you by. Take a friend by the hand and help each other through. This song helps me sit back and take a breath from my busy day and get back on track. There is amazing sound and talent from this actress/singer. If you are wondering who this lovely lady is…go and rent The Day After Tomorrow…she plays Jake Gyllenhaal’s love interest!![

Welcome friends. This blog is to inform you on a very important subject in society...expression!! How can one express feelings and thoughts? Through music of course! We all can think back and relate ourselves to one song or another from our past. When we break up with someone...there is always a song that comes on that precisely conveys exactly how we feel. Music is an amazing part of life and gives us a change to dive into a world we can only dream of. There are many songs out there, old and new that are dear to my heart and I can’t wait to share them with you. I will take you through many different cultures and backgrounds your head will spin. I want to share a part of my life with you. When you listen to music…do you listen to the words? If not…I challenge you to go ahead and listen to what the artists are saying. It can be so touching…and unexpected. Trust me…you will she amazed. So, take my challenge and I welcome you to challenge me back.
