Saturday NBA Plays

December 15th 2012 14:35
Fantasy sports and sports betting is entertainment to us but something that happened yesterday takes precedent over any sporting event. The state of Connecticut is waking up today wondering why someone had to ruin a community in their state by going into a school and causing harm to innocent children who had their entire lives ahead of them. I just want to say my thoughts and prayers go out to the families and the community of Newton Connecticut that is dealing with this horrible tragedy.

Recap from last night: Last night was an average night in fantasy basketball for my blog players in which we saw Andrei Kirilenko led the way with 37 fantasy points while Marc Gasol 34 fantasy points and Serge Ibaka 31 fantasy points for my team last night. OJ Mayo really hurt me with just 10 fantasy points. Overall it was an average night but average nights do not put you in the money. Back to the drawing board today to see what I have on tap for tonight.

Al Horford vs. Golden State: Horford enters tonight’s contest coming off probably his worst night this season in which he had just 11 points and three rebounds which put an end to a string of seven straight double-doubles he had. Horford gets a chance to redeem him tonight against a Warriors team that does not have a big man in the middle to contain him. Golden State is allowing 38.2 fantasy points per game to centers this season while Horford is averaging 31.2 fantasy points per game. The total on this game is 196 which are much higher than the 192.5 total in the first meeting between these two teams which they played under the total. Odds makers are telling you this will be a higher scoring game which means Horford will get his opportunities.

LeBron James vs. Washington: James is going to come with a hefty price tag but he should be well worth it tonight. In the last meeting with Washington James ended up with a triple double which landed him 57 fantasy points in a four point loss to Washington. James will be out for some redemption from that loss and I can see another big night from him. Since that loss to Washington James has averaged 42 fantasy points per game. I like James to have a huge night tonight while leading this Heat team to some revenge on Washington.

Andrei Kirilenko vs. Dallas: Kirilenko continues to put up nice fantasy numbers all the way across the board gets a shot to continue that tonight against a Dallas team that ranks in the bottom six for fantasy points allowed to small forwards (35.4 FPPGA). Since coming back from a back injury that sidelined Kirilenko for a few games he has averaged 33.3 fantasy points per game the last three games. Kevin Love is struggling right now and is questionable for tonight’s game that mean somebody has to pick up the slack and look for that to be Kirilenko tonight.

Glen Davis vs. Charlotte: Davis has not put up monster stats this season but has had a lot of decent outings in which he put up solid fantasy numbers. Last night Davis laid an egg against Golden State but then again most power forwards do when facing David Lee. Tonight though Davis gets to redeem himself against a Bobcats team that ranks second to last for fantasy points allowed to power forwards (42 FPPGA). The price tag is nice on Davis as I think he should have a big night tonight.

Luke Ridnour vs. Dallas: I know Ricky Rubio is supposed to be back in the lineup tonight for the Wolves but he will not see a full load of minutes tonight, with Rubio being limited to minutes as he is worked back into full action look for Luke Ridnour to step it up tonight. Ridnour had an outstanding first contest against Dallas this season in which he finished with 35 fantasy points. Ridnour faces a Dallas team that allows the fourth most fantasy points to point guards this season (37.2 FPPGA). The price is right on Ridnour which will help spend money on some of those super stars for your team.

Deron Williams vs. Chicago: Williams is not having his typical super star fantasy season, which is why his price tag is not outrageous. Tonight Williams gets a shot at a Bulls team that will be having Nate Robinson start at point guard while trying to contain Williams. Williams is a super star in this league in which nigh in and night out he gets his opportunities to put up solid numbers. I like his chances tonight to at least grab 30 fantasy points.

Monta Ellis vs. LA Clippers: Elllis is a top notch shooting guard in this league that comes with a reasonable price tag in fantasy basketball. Last night we saw Monta finish with a season high 33 points scored as he will look to duplicate that tonight when he gets a shot at the LA Clippers. Ellis has averaged 35.3 fantasy points per game the last three games in which his downside has been the turnovers since he has averaged over 5 per game the last three games. Even with the turnovers for Elllis, he still puts up respectable fantasy numbers which he should continue tonight.

I hope this information is able to help you fantasy addicts out there. If you have not gotten into the daily fantasy contests then head over to one of the sites that you can play on and get involved. We still have plenty of NBA season yet to go to make some extra money.

Good Luck Everyone!
