saturday 28th - 1500m race
clocked something like 4:50 but it doesnt matter.
i was so wrecked from thursday, shouldnt have tried the 1500. i was the only one from the people who did the 10k who backed up, and i think they were smarter.
felt fine in the warm up but within 2 steps of my first stride, the first time i tried lifting it above a jog, i felt it wasnt right, it felt just slow and like i couldnt sprint, couldnt get out of a slow gear.
was straining the whole first lap to just get around in 1:11, then just slowed off because i couldnt get into my normal 1500m speed. it was as if that speed was just blocked off for me, i couldnt get anywhere near it. didnt want to pull out, but nothing was going to come of this race, i knew it as soon as i heard the 300m split. i shouldve taken more rest after the 10k, i didnt think it would knock me around that much. probably cos it's my first too, and im not used to racing that distance. its well above any track race i do, and even queens. still, learnt for next time.
