The taste of chocolate is something to live for, if not to die for.
Welcome to my blog. Upcoming posts will discuss other good things to live for, like movies, TV shows, books, special events, food, and other wonderful things that make life worth living
Here we go: .
1. If you wake up in the morning and smell chocolate in the house, whether or not it is present, then you know you're a chocoholic.
2. If you wake up, don't find chocolate, and then plan your entire day around getting some, then you know you're a chocoholic.
3. If you go out, buy your chocolate, and eat it all up in the car coming home, then you know you're a chocoholic.
4. If you get home, after eating all your chocolate in the car coming home, and then go out again to buy some more, then you know you're a chocoholic.
5. If you dream of chocolate, if you buy too much of it, if you don't share it with those you love, then you know you're a chocoholic.
6. If like some people, you can NOT take one bite of chocolate a day, thus drawing out for a week or more one candy bar, but instead must devour your entire store of chocolate in one sitting, then you know you're a chocoholic,
Is there hope for the chocoholic? If you are one, can you break this habit of craving it endlessly?
Look at it this way: the chocolate addiction, like any other, can be conquered. You have to first of all acknowledge it (Step One of any 12 Step Program), and then realize it is taking the place in your life of either love, an absorbing job or hobby, or something else that only you know.
But don't give up. Tell yourself you are a strong, good person. Other people have conquered bad habits, and you can too. Also take heart from the fact that some people outgrow their constant need for chocolate, so there is something to be said for aging.
But don't substitute donuts for chocolate.
The taste of chocolate is something to live for.
Tomorrow we will examine reality television
as something else to live for.
Dagoba Chocolate's motto is "You can deprive the body, but the soul needs chocolate." Yes, of course the soul needs chocolate. Lovers need chocolate. Addicts need chocolate.
There are people who say they like chocolate, and then there are chocoholics, people who live and die for chocolate. Chocoholics go beyond "liking" chocolate; these people not only love it, they will go to any lengths to get it, keep it and have it every day, and if possible hourly.
Chocoholics know all the makers of fine chocolates throughout the world, and I'm not just talking Hersey. They order online from chocolate catalogs like Richart, and pay extraordinary amounts for such goodies. They know the esoteric places where chocolate is grown and made and shipped, and they reguarly visit Belgium or Venezuela stock up on fresh, rich chocolate
