Since its release late last year Samsung’s digital NX10 camera is in the right price bracket.
The Samsung NX 10 retails in Australia for around $550 onwards. The NX10 offers a resolution of 14.6Megapixels. from a CMOS chip. The camera chip sensor offers high image quality , the over all colour rendition is excellent.
Samsung NX10 System incorporates 3 exchangeable lenses.
Although the NX11 has been released the main change over the NX10 is support for the I-function lens system. The system that was introduced with the NX100 (NX100 no longer in production) i-Function allows the operator to choose one of the lens rings to adjust shutter speed, aperture, exposure compensation including white balance and ISO sensitivity.
The Lens Priority works in conjunction with the body to choose various scene presets based on the lens' characteristics. The NX11 also has some design tweaks, including an updated hand grip.
The NX10 has an 3.0" AMOLED Display the display is clear even in bright sunlight with a response rate that's
3,000 times faster than ordinary an LCD display. The high dynamic contrast
ratio enables you to see sharp, clear images at any angle with outstanding
colour reproduction
The NX10 has the option of producing HD quality video 720p .The NX10 allows you to watch high resolution video on your HDTV, the HDMI interface is ideal for transferring your digital data. As with most digital DSLR cameras dust can be a problem especially when it comes to interchanging lenses.
The camera has a dust removing and image sensor cleaning system.
This camera may not suite everyone’s particular needs but it does offer excellent colour images and has a video recording function. The camera is light and easy to carry.
The only issue I had with the NX10 was the low data rate transfer when recording video.
