It looks like Sony Ericsson has already pinned down the release date of SE Zeus Z1, aka the Sony Ericsson Playstation Phone. Tech site ITProPortal has claimed a source close to the company has confirmed that the long rumored phone will be launched in March of next year. This means that device will probably make an appearance at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February and at Cebit 2011 in Germany in the first week of March next year.

The report also suggest that Sony Ericsson wants to label the Z1 as "the Playstation Phone rather than the PSP phone." As rumored before, the device will run on the newly-announced Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, and is likely to have 512MB RAM, 8GB microSD card, an ARM processor and a 3.7-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen.

Mass Effect 2 dated for PS3

December 10th 2010 16:42

The release date of the PlayStation 3 outing of Mass Effect 2 has already been set. Speaking with IGN, Electronic Arts has confirmed that the PS3 iteration of the hit RPG shooter will be out on January 18 in North America and will land in Europe on January 21st.

But since the original Mass Effect remains Xbox 360 exclusive, EA and BioWare plans to include an interactive comic with the PS3 version to help bridge the gap of the first entry to the latest iteration. In addition, the PS3 copies will also packed with previously released downloadable content like Lair of the Shadow Broker, Project Overlord, Kasumi: Stolen Memory and the Blood Dragon Armor, with the Zaeed and Firewalker content accessible through the Cerberus Network.

Late Night With Jimmy Fallon has been a regular venue for big game reveals this year. Among those we've seen are a couple of huge "part threes": Gears of War 3 and Killzone 3. This Monday we'll see another one.

Fallon himself has confirmed via Twitter that Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception will be getting its first live demo on the show: "Attn Gamers: the first live demo of Uncharted 3 on Mon, Dec. 13th here at Late Night. Set your DVRs."

No doubt about it, the big titles for On Shelves This Week are WoW: Cataclysm and TRON: Evolution. Nothing like a good action-packed adventure to wrap up this gaming year. There are also a couple more notable titles like Yu-Gi-Oh and SBK X: Super Bike, but we bet it just does not generate the same electrifying excitement as Cataclysm and TRON give you. After a long, five-year development cycle, Polyphony Digital's latest racing installment, Gran Turismo 5 will finally land on our laps this week... we hope! Also coming along for a ride is Namco's action-adventure puzzle game Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom and the latest gore-fest reboot Splatterhouse. On the casual side of things, Wii owners will be treated with some classic side-scrolling action with the release Donkey Kong Country Returns while PSP users can dive down the Worms universe with Worms: Battle Islands

OnLive, the streaming service that has the potential to change forever the way we play (and purchase) video games, will begin selling its small TV "console" tomorrow. And it's got a rather attractive price-point to go along with it
