This has been one of the most exciting racing seasons in Formula 1, the end of the Italian Grand Prix on the Sep 10, 2006 we heard the announcement from Ferrari that this would be Michael Schumacher’s last season. With just three races left in the calendar and two points separating Fernando Alonso and Michael Schumacher are closer to each other than ever before.
Michael Schumacher entered the Ferrari team in 1996 when Ferrari were in dire straits with no world championship title for about a decade, and he became the reason for Ferrari’s first World championship Title since 1990. Can Schumi repeat the miracle again in 2006 and win the last world championship before he retires, or will Alonso snatch the title away from the best racing team Ferrari and from the most successful racing driver Michael Schumacher. Alonso and Renault will do everything then can to stop it from happening we can remember the time that William and Renault joined forces in 1993 and Ferrari stood helpless as hard as they tried they could not beat the William-Renault team. Will this season repeat the 1993 season? This is not just a racing title on the line, there is more, Ferrari is determiner to show to the world that they have always been the best and Schumi will not give up without a fight. The tremendous comeback from a not so good season in 2005 and not too impressive start to the 2006 season, Ferrari and Schumi have come a long way to take the Constructors title lead from Renault and brought Schumi one step closer to his World Title. With the Chinese Grand Prix- Oct 01, 2006, Japanese Grand Prix Oct 08, 2006 and The Brazilian Grand Prix Oct 22, 2006 being the only thing separating the 6 time world champion from the world title. The million dollar question on everyone’s mind is will Michael Schumacher make this his 7th or will Alonso take his second.
