Man. Honestly. I really like Australian music and I've already seen some really cool rock, hiphop and popbands. And it might be not easy for Aussie-Artists to become famous outside this big island. And it's really cool that some bands made the step across the ocean - successfully. BUT why is every radio station playing the few famous bands on such a high rotation? I really liked Silverchair or Powderfinger when coming across with them the first time, the second, the third and even the 20th time. But at the moment you can't spend a day without listening to them for about 492 times. Everywhere. And now I came to a point where I have to say, sorry guys, you suck! Next time I walk down George St. on my way to work and they play Powderfinger or Silverchair or the "Crowdies" I really think I'll go with Tom Jones - burning down the house!
You know, sometimes it's really quite strange. Only because it's Australian, it has to be played more often? Looks like it's the same thing with music like it is with all other stuff down here. Everywhere those stickers on food, clothing, simply everything....'100% Australian'. Great. Congratulations! And only because it's from Australia I should pay 20% more? Or listen to it 20% more often? Isn't this kind of discrimination? (sure I know I could turn off the radio, but I want to listen to some music..). Well, anyway, long live the ipod!

Mal wieder vorneweg der typische Satz, der vo den meisten Erlebnissen stehen muss: "Ich weiß, ich weiß, ich bin ja selbst schuld..." So, nachdem das geklärt ist, kann ich ja loslegen:
Und zwar bin ich ja selbst daran schuld sogenannten Beratungsstellen oder Sprechstunden aufzusuchen. Heute war ich auf der Suchen nach Beratung von Krankenkassen. Der Fall liegt eigentlich ganz einfach: Momentan bin ich als Student noch familienversichert. Der Versicherungsschutz läuft im März ab...doch wenn der abläuft befinde ich mich bereits im Praktikum Down Under.
Also die ganz einfache Frage: Muss ich mich gleich ab März wieder hier versichern - falls ja, was kostet eine Studentenversicherung? - oder langt eine Auslandsversicherung - gibts von der Krankenkasse bei der ich gerade bin ein entsprechendes Produkt? -
Mit einem freundlichen Lächeln auf den Lippen betrat ich also die erste Krankenkassenfiliale welche sich glücklicherweise in der Nähe meiner Hochschule befindet und noch damit wirbt eine Anlaufstelle für Studenten zu sein. Klingt ja schonmal gut, dacht ich mir...als ich zielstrebig auf die Niederlassung zusteuere sehe ich bereits, dass sonst keine Kunden da sind. Super! Keine Wartezeit, gleich beraten, toll...und kaum öffen ich die Tür, schallmeit mir auch schon ein freundliches "Hallooo" von der anderen Seite des Schreibtisches entgegen. Eine junge, attraktive Angestellte der örtlichken Krankenkasse lächelt mich an und fragt mich was sie für mich tun kann. Ich erläutere oben genanntes Problem und bin gespannt auf die Antwort, welche sinngemäß wie folgt lautet: "Wir müssen wissen wann der Versicherungsschutz der elterlichen Versicherung aufhört, dann gibt es eine Studiversicherung zu ca. 57,00 im Monat und am besten Du schaust hier mal in unsere, zugegeben alte - aber wir haben sonst noch keine - , Broschüre." Schonmal nicht schlecht für den ersten Satz dacht ich mir. Und höflich ist sie, schaut mir in die Augen, lächelt häufiger....die Serviceseminare hat sie also alle gut abgeschlossen...und attraktiv ist sie auch noch. Haben sie gut gemacht, sie da an die Front zu setzten...doch dann frag ich nochmal nach wie es denn mit dem Auslandsschutz so aussieht und ob ich mich gleich nochmal versichern muss oder ob es langt mich nach meinem Zurückkommen hier zu versichern...und wieder kommt die gleiche Message, in einem etwas anderen Satzgerüst daher. Schade...hat so gut angefangen...ich bedanke mich natürlich höflich mit einem Lächeln, nehme die Broschüre mit (welchen nun nie zuhause bei mir ankam) und mache mich auf den Weg zur nächsten Beratungsstelle. Momentan bin ich ja noch bei einer Krankenkasse über meine Eltern versichert, die müssen ja auch was wissen, frag ich da doch nochmal nach....
Also entere ich das nächste Krankenkassengebäude...quäle mich 2 Stockwerke hoch und komme in ein sehr unsympathisches Großraumbüro...und das ist die Hauptfiliale hier? Hm...sieht ja nicht so einladend aus, aber wenn der Service stimmt, störts ja nicht so sehr. War mein Gedankengang...nun ja...am Service werde ich auch, von einer leider nicht so jungen und attraktiven Dame, angelächelt und zu Tisch Nr. 4 geschickt...dort setze ich mich hin und die Miesere nimmt ihren Lauf.
Der gute Mann scheint sehr verwirrt ob meines Anliegens, beziehungsweise versteht er es gar nicht...er fängt an mir irgendwas von Arbeitslosengeld zu erzählen (ja ich bin noch immer Student) und davon, dass im Ausland vielleicht keine Versicherung nötig ist (klar...Augen zu und durch...sind ja nur 6 Monate) und dann kommt er wieder mit Arbeitsamt und irgendwelchen Bezügen (ich studiiiiiiiiere). Ich erklär im nochmal mein Anliegen, doch das interessiert nicht wirklich. Mit wirrem Blick und verwuschelten Haaren erklärt er mir nochmal das es ja sein kann dass ich Arbeitslosengeld bekomme wenn ich wieder komme (noch immer bin ich Student der ein Praxissemester macht somit ganz normal eingeschrieben ist - was ich auch ca. 5mal erklärt habe)....
Nach 10 Minuten (es kam mir wirklich viel viel viel länger vor...) stimme ich zu, mich mal beim Arbeitsamt zu informieren und dann weiter zu sehen...aber bestimmt nicht bei der Krankenkasse mit solchen Angestellten...das passiert wenn man beim Service spart und Sachbearbeiter beraten lässt...
Fazit meiner Bemühungen heute:
1x wirklich nett und servicegerecht behandelt worden, leider ohne interessante Informationen
1x total inkompetent mit sinnlosen phrasen zugetextet worden

Only one day to go until THE day of the year. 07/07/07 will break records everywhere with everything. On this day approximately 2.8 billion people are going to marry, some 20.000 are going to cheer for the wallabies when they take on the spring brooks at Telstra Stadium (unfortunately without one of their best players since he had a to much of a hangover when appearing to a training session this week) for the last test before the world cup AND, most important, tomorrow WE ALL will save the world. The concert for a climate in crisis is going to take place all over the world with its kick off here at Aussie Stadium, Sydney.
Another big event to tell everyone in the world that we have to act now in order to save our environment. Well, I dont want to discuss whether it makes sense to do the biggest show on earth from an environmental point of view (just imagine how much energy those shows need
how much water will be wasted (important thing here in Australia) and how much dioxides are going to be released into the air
but, all in the name of the environment. So its ok! Actually Id like to discuss the Aussie related thing on this
meaning, here in Australia, everything has to be big and enormous. We want to show the world that we care. Thats why we had the Earth Hour (oooooh what a success. I was sitting at Darling Harbour while it happened. Some of the office buildings really shut everything down. But, thx to the city of Sydney, the tourist lights at the Harbour itself continued to shine. Great stuff!) and now we have Live Earth. Well, dont get me wrong, its a nice thing that the Australians always want to make huge steps into the right direction. But the problem over here, in my opinion is, that no one does a little step. For example: Just go to Woolworths, Coles or any other discounter, supermarket, pharmacy
and buy a chocolate bar and water. You will almost ALWAYS get a new plastic bag at the counter. Most of the time even without being asked whether you need one. I really think after four months here I could open a plastic bag discount. And, if you asking how it could be done in an other way just do your next shopping at Aldi ( I think its located at Edgecliff, Paramatta and somewhere else) and go to the counter. There you have to pay for a plastic bag which is, in return, a bag that will last for a few grocery shopping events and will not burst when trying to get out of the bus on the way home. Oh, and of course I have to mention this: Aldi is a German discounter but anyway, just try it once!
But back to the topic: Its really great you invented the mega super saving light bulb and the half-flush, but despite this it might be a good idea to just switch of the lights at night or not to clean your car with a pressure washer

I think there are heaps of examples where everyone of the Aussies, well, everyone of us, of course, could help making our environment a little more green again. I don't need to tell you this. But unfortunately, here in Australia you can see the direct impact of the climate change. Just look at Perth...it's supposed to become a desert city in the worst case. Las Vegas style...So, lets take it serious (thx to Thorpie and all the other celebs who start to help spreading the word). Finally just think about that everyone who wants to make a huge jump forward (into a green environment) needs to take a run-up and every run-up starts with a small step.

And now let us look forward to 07/07/07 and all the celebrations.

Angeregt von den Problemen und Erfahrungen meines Profs (guckst du! ) und diversen Blogeinträgen dachte ich mir ist es an der Zeit mich in die Reihe der Dell-Geschädigten einzureihen. Doch auch hier muss ich vorne Weg sagen, dass ich mit der Qualität des Notebooks mehr als zufrieden bin (Ich verwende diese stumpfsinnige Übertreibung bewusst, denn es ist wirklich gut). Das Problem besteht ja leider immer nur darin sein gewünschtes Gerät zu bekommen...
Es war einmal in lang lang entfernten Zeit....da entschloss ich mich dazu ein Notebook zu kaufen. Nach langem hin und her und verschiedenen Tests reifte mein Traum von einem Dell Notebook. Als ich dann mein arme, kleines und dem Hungertot nahen Studentenkonto geplündert hatte, war zumindest schonmal die finanzielle Grundlage geschaffen diese Anschaffung zu tätigen. Also ging ich eines schönen Nachmittags voller Vorfreude auf www.dell. de (Fehler Nummer 1: Niemals darauf freuen online einzukaufen!) um das Gerät meiner schlaflosen Nächte zusammenzustellen und zu ordern

Das hat auch ganz einfache Gründe. Also nicht dass ich nicht wollen würde, ich würd gern kommen. Auch gerne öfter. Aber Meister Mehdorn lässt mich ja nicht....Wär ich Geschäftsmann, wohlhabend und gutverdienend, wärs ja kein Thema. Erste Klasse ICE ist mit sicherheit wundervoll zu reisen. Aber der rest...wahrlich bescheiden. Teuer ohne Ende und nicht zu finanzieren. Klar...Bahncards gibts. NUR zählt die ja nicht bei so tollen Angeboten wie dem Bayernticket oder dem Schöne Wochenende Ticket. Wo wir auch schon beim Fake schlechthin wären. Oder beim Geniestreich des Jahres.
