MVP MVP MVP MVP MVP

Seriously, after last night, Rondo can do it alone. It's something spectacular when you can speak your name along side Oscar Robertson and Wilt the Stilt Chamberlain, and Rondo can now do that. Rajon Rondo, don't be mistaken people, RAJON RONDO is the best point guard in the league. I have been saying this all year long. He isn't getting that respect, its always "the Big 3" but what about the "Big 1" because he has consistently been the best player all year.

The kid came out and dropped 29 points, 18 rebounds. Yes 18 rebounds for a point guard, and he had 13 dimes. Those numbers are just sick. They scream, I am the Team. He was grabbing offensive and defensive boards, scooping up rebounds from blocked shots, and just playing balls to the wall at both ends of the floor. As Magic Johnson said earlier on Sportscenter, "in the beginning of the year we were talking about the Big 3. Now we're talking about Rajon Rondo and the Big 3."

Before we get all happy and shit, can we talk about LeBron James, and the mystery elbow. C'mon dude give up that bullshit elbow injury. When he was dropping 21 points in the first quarter and blowing out the Celts in game 3, his elbow was absolutely fine. But when he's getting held to limited scoring and limited offensive opportunities, his elbow is the most troublesome thing in the world. Give it up dude.

As much as I hate Kobe for the rapist he is, the dude plays through injuries like no other. All year he has battled finger, hip, leg, foot, etc injuries and you never hear him bitching or moaning about his injuries. Kobe is a beast, the dude may be a complete scum bag, but he can ball up and take a beat down, without bitching or making excuses for himself or his team. I can respect that.

After getting blown out in the worst fashion possible, the Celtics managed to fight back and tie the series at 2 games a piece. Game 5 is in Cleveland on Tuesday, and if the Celts can continue riding the outstanding play of Rondo, I can't imagine the Cav's having an answer for him. The question is now raised whether LeBron should now cover Rondo, this would be troublesome for Rondo, but leaving Pierce to be covered by who? Mo Williams? Give me that all day. I think the Cav's have a serious problem here, Derrick Rose was shut out by LeBron but Rose's supporting cast is nothing like the C's. I say this because obviously LeBron covered Rose for a couple sequences in the last series.

Triple Double Triple Double Triple Double, Game 5! Can he do it? Hell yeah he can. Let's see it Rajon! The Celtics can put a big time damper on the Cavaliers with a game 5 win in Cleveland. This Cleveland team is not playoff tested and it will really question their character. And watch for LeBron's elbow, every time he fucks up its killing him, but then again he has no problem dropping the hammer hard at the rim.. makes you think huh?

Cavalier's vs Celtic's

May 3rd 2010 15:50
Game one took place on Saturday night. The Celtics and the Cavaliers who seem both seem to be really hitting on all cylinders of late. The Celtics off their impressive 5 game series win over the Miami Heat. And the Cleveland Cavaliers also coming off a 5 game series victory over the Chicago Bulls.

The Cavalier's star and newly named NBA MVP for the second straight season, LeBron James, stole the show once again. After awkwardly falling in the last game of the Bulls series, James complained of a soar elbow. The competitor that he is wouldn't acknowledge the injury and said that he couldn't afford to be complaining or worrying about it. LeBron finished with a game high 35 points and had 7 rebounds and 7 assists.

The game ended with the Cavalier's overtaking the Celtics in the fourth quarter, and taking game 1 with the winning score of 101-93. The Celtics started the game shooting high percentage shots and really taking the ball hard to the basket. They jumped out to a half time lead 54-43. They continued their good defensive play for the first half of the third quarter. Then it was LeBron's time. The Cavaliers erased the 11 point halftime deficit to a one point lead at 79-78 by the end of the third quarter. Outscoring the C's 36-24 in the quarter.

The Cavalier's picked up in the fourth quarter right where they had left off. Up by 1 and continuing to attack the rim and the core of the Celtics defense. It didn't help that Pierce went 1-12 shooting down the stretch, and at one point missing three consecutive buckets with a chance to tie or take the lead with a 3 point field goal. Pierce finished with 5-17 shooting night and a total 13 points.

The game ended with the Cavalier's continuing their second half dominance of the Celtics and they took the 1 game to none series lead. The second game of the series is tonight, in Cleveland, at 8 tonight.

The Celtics weren't getting the necessary secondary scoring and none of the Big 3 were really getting into a consistent grove. It should be called Rondo and the Big 3 because Rondo is the most consistent player we've had all year, easily beating out the Big 3 in performance all season. Rondo tallied a team high 27 points along with 12 assists and 6 rebounds. KG finished the game with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Allen wasn't able to get his three point shooting going and wasn't able to get open looks. He finished with 14 points.

The Celtics have struggled all season in the latter parts of games. The Cavaliers have came back from first half deficits and beaten the Celtics in all three of their wins this season (2 in regular season, 1 in playoffs). The Celt's have to be able to get consistent play and scoring from their bench and the Big 3 needs to all play like they did against the Heat in order to keep up with the Cavs.

The Celtics took a commanding 3 games to 1 lead after the weekend. The Celts started out slow in game 3. They fell behind in the second quarter and were down by a maximum of 18 points in the 3rd quarter. But the aged and resilient C's battled back to take the lead and hold out the win behind the superb play of Pierce, Allen and Rondo. The fourth quarter was a battle from possession to possession. The Truth got the ball with under 10 seconds to go and pulled a step back 18 footer and drained it for the win!

Game 4 was in Miami and the Heat came out with their backs against the wall. The Heat had the lead for most of the game but the Celts stormed back late to tie it up and take a small 4 point lead. But this is where Dwayne Wade refused to be done. He single handedly carried the Heat. Dwayne had the ball in his hand throughout the fourth quarter and dropped 30 points in the second half. He finished the game with 46 points, a game and personal playoff high. The Celts have to go home to close out the series in game 5 on Tuesday.

So i accidently deleted most of my Celtics blogs. I'm an asshole. But hey shit happens right. Just what KG should have said to Q after eating that bow to the jaw.

To reiterate.. Opening round of the Playoffs kicked off with the Celts playing the Heat. The Celtics were undefeated against the Miami Heat this year. They were probably happier with the 4 seed so they could face the 5 seed Heat because the Milwaukee Bucks were on fire. Well so were the Heat, entering the playoffs on a steady winning streak. But they ran into the buzz saw which is the Celtics. They play has been improved and they did what everyone was afraid they couldn't do, and that is flip the switch and get into playoff mode

Congrats Rondo

April 3rd 2010 13:39
Congrats Rajon Rondo! Last night he set the celtics single season assist record. He passed Celtic legend Bob Cousy's record of 715 assists in a single season. Rajon finished the night with 23 points, 10 assists, 5 rebounds, and 5 steals. Those are some spectacular numbers right there. However the lack of intensity on the defensive side of the ball led to another Celtics home loss. The Celtics have slipped 12.5 games behind the Cavs for first place, but no one really expected anyone to take that number one seed from them anyway. They're a full game behind the Hawks for the third seed. The Celts have 7 games remaining and 4 of the teams are in, as of now, for the Eastern Conference Playoffs. They have 2 games against the 6 seed Bucks (possible opening round opponent) a game against the Cavs and a game against the 8th seed Raptors. The Hawks have been playing well of late, however they lost to the Cavs last night. But I'm not sure who'd the Celts would rather play, either the 6th seed Bucks or the 5th seed Heat. Celts are 1-1 against the Bucks with 2 games remaining. And they're 3-0 against the Heat this year. I'm not gonna talk elaborate about last nights loss because the game was in our go to guy Paul Pierce's hand as time expired. Paul front rimmed it sending the game into overtime where the Rockets dominated the second half of the overtime period outscoring the Celts 10-0. It was just another poor Celtic performance. As much as I'd like to say I'm not worried because we're already in the playoffs. I AM WORRIED!
