 One of the largest UFOs ever seen has been observed by the crew and passengers of an airliner over the Channel Islands. An official air-miss report on the incident several weeks ago appears in Pilot magazine. Aurigny Airlines captain Ray Bowyer, 50, flying close to Alderney first spotted the object, described as "a cigar-shaped brilliant white light".

The King of Infomercials Billy Mays was found dead in his home this morning. Billy was best known for his OxiClean commercials.
Mays, 50, was found unresponsive by his wife inside his Tampa, Fla., home at 7:45 a.m. on Sunday, according to the Tampa Police Department. Police said there were no signs of forced entry to Mays' residence and foul play is not suspected. Authorities said an autopsy should be complete by Monday afternoon. Sad loss, my prayers go out to his family.

A New Mexico woman with an affinity for rabbits has run afoul of the law after her rascally pets started multiplying like, well, rabbits. Rio Rancho police said Monday that Nancy Haseman was cited under an ordinance that allows five pets per household after an animal control officer found 334 bunnies hopping around in her yard. The officer spotted the animals last month after a neighbor complained about rabbits eating her garden. Haseman says her husband rescued a rabbit 12 years ago after a neighbor abandoned it, then the couple began rescuing more bunnies. Apparantly she did keep the males and females seperated but the males hopped the fence and things got out of control after that. Those bunnies can multiply!

Police in Longmont Colorado confiscated 53 baby birds from a 15 year old boy who apparently took them from nests in the neighborhood and stored them in his room. It is believed that the boy had the birds for at least 24 hours. When the boys mom realized he had them she called animal control.

Some part of New Jersey were pounded by a hail storm yesterday. The aftermath made it look like a June blizzard blew through with several inches of hail piling up.
Washington Township residents were seen on their driveways breaking out the snow shovels and officials sent out bulldozers to act as snow plows to clear the streets after severe thunderstorms pounded the region. Children were seen forming hailballs.
