Change Travels Fast...

April 21st 2012 13:11

As one may expect, all things change and the world has moved in so many different directions one can hardly keep up. A burglery has completely changed the game and all things will be different, again. I hope to be back at my desk soon with tales of Baja and the Adventures of another BajaChef...

one Baja Adventurer.

Casa De Paz

There are many amazing things to do in Baja California, from historical sites and Old Missionaries to the BAJA 5000. Not the least of which is enjoy the wonderful culinary delights Baja has to offer - of note is the Baja Fish Taco! According to the US Consulate Baja sports over 170,000 American Retirees. Not far from here is "Baja Film Studios" where the ocean scenes for the films Titanic and Master and Commander were created. Food, Fun and Festivities abound with something to do every day or night if you care to.

Urban Shaman - Kitchen Shaman

Some years ago I was asked to create an art piece for the premier exhibition of "High Art, High Chair" an annual invitational for artists in the Intermountain West - the US Rocky Mountain States. My creation was "Urban Shaman's Chair," the point being - in a world surrounded by frantic routine, contemporary noises, and rat race mentalities there is a cry for 'spiritual place' where one can acknowledge presence and existence. It is often hard to compose visions of nature in a daily routine while hard at work making the globe turn.

on Hair Hair Everywhere

November 18th 2010 19:51
My two Goldens are more than friends, they are my children, not having any of the human sort! I know fully your battle with hair, imagine two of them producing enough to create another daily. I find hair everywhere, but I am with you, the hugs and love are worth every hair in my culinary treats and all over the house. I could comfort a third world country with woolen coats from the hair in my courtyard, in the plants, in the crawl spaces and even under the hood of my car. And, I live in Baja where we have Santa Anna's in our winter - another good reason for them to shed, shed, shed... Though I feel your pain, I also know the rewards of their loving, kind and gracious manner. I would recommend a Golden to anyone who loves pets. My girls are the highlight of my day most days. Keep loving and know there are many of us who share your pain and your joy...
