Rise of the Planet of the Apes was the tenth movie on my quest.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes is a 2011 American science fiction drama film directed by Rupert Wyatt, starring James Franco and Andy Serkis. It is a reboot of the Planet of the Apes series, intended to act as a foundation with its own origin story for a new film series

Plot:
Will Rodman (James Franco) is a scientist at biotechnology company Gen-Sys who has been trying to develop a cure for Alzheimer's disease and is testing a new gene therapy drug on chimpanzees. The drug, a modified virus, mutates the chimpanzees, giving them a human level of intelligence. A female chimp who believes her baby is being threatened goes on a rampage and is shot by security guards. Will's boss Steven Jacobs (David Oyelowo) subsequently orders chimp handler Robert Franklin (Tyler Labine) to euthanize the remaining test chimpanzees. Franklin cannot bring himself to kill the baby chimp and instead gives him to Will, who takes him home to raise. He raises higher and higher every day.

A Movie Quest: #9 Fast Five

January 16th 2012 16:15

Fast Five was the ninth movie I have watched this year on my Quest for 500.

Fast Five is a 2011 American action film written by Chris Morgan and directed by Justin Lin. It is the fifth installment in the Fast and the Furious film series.

Plot:
When Dominic "Dom" Toretto (Vin Diesel) is being transported to Lompoc prison by bus, his sister Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster) and friend Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) lead an assault on the bus, causing it to crash and freeing Dom. While the authorities search for them, the trio escape to Rio de Janeiro. Awaiting Dom's arrival, Mia and Brian join their friend Vince (Matt Schulze) and other participants on a job to steal three cars from a train. Brian and Mia discover that agents from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) are also on the train and that the cars are seized property. When Dom arrives with the rest of the participants, he realizes that one of them, Zizi (Michael Irby), is only interested in stealing one car, a Ford GT40. Dom has Mia steal the car herself while he and Brian fight Zizi and his henchmen, during which Zizi kills the DEA agents assigned to the vehicles. Dom and Brian are captured and brought to crime lord Hernan Reyes (Joaquim de Almeida), the owner of the cars and Zizi's boss. Reyes orders the pair be interrogated to discover the location of the car, but they manage to escape and retreat to their safehouse.

This year's race for the Rookie of the Year Award looks like it will be a two man race. Kyrie Irving is the favorite with his 17.0 ppg to lead all rookies. Ricky Rubio is closing the gap with his all around play. Rubio is averaging 11.0 ppg to go along with 8.3 assists per game

Slip into one of these

January 15th 2012 16:04
The most simplest thing for any surfer or water boarder to decided is what type of wetsuit they will wear. Why i say it is the easiest decesion is that Body Glove wetsuits are the only choice.

Everybody wants the best wetsuits they can find or afford. Body Glove is that type of suit. I love Body Glove suits they felll and fit great. Their bathing suits are also top of the line. Don't wear some other suit wear the best in body suits

The old man can still play. Jeff Maggert fired a third round 64 to join Matt Every at -12 under for the lead at the Sony Open. Both of those players will tee off in the last group with a two shot lead on the rest of the field

Wilson has shown signs of greatness but also showed signs that worry me. He is a quality starting pitcher in this league and would make a top three pitcher on any staff. Numbers whose not sure what that translates in to. If the Yankees are gonna pay C.C 25 million a year I can see about 11-14 a year for Wilson. I wouldn't sign him for more than Three years. Not a fan of signing a pitcher to more than that.

Yes it was terrible. Rangers didn't bat that great but did enough to win. Either Yankees or Tigers will be a great series vs Rangers.

Forte was a beast this week. Not on the Lions bandwagon just yet. Not a fan of always being down by double digits then fight your way back for a win. But, I guess the key is the do still win.

As usual good stuff Joe. I had never heard of Grubb until this article. You are correct every players goal should be to have a long lasting career with a ring to cap it off.

Great piece Joe, The Cowboys are a mess right now. Like you I do not care for Jones but I see the problem a little different. Romo is not guy to me and where is the fire in this team. I see a nine wine season and sitting at home or the playoffs.
