Classically trained, Catherine Chamoun developed her smooth and soulful sound, with an extensive eight octave vocal range, partnered with over fourteen years of intensive vocal training and prolific song writing ability, this Melbourne based artist is currently following her journey through life to make music her success.
In recent years Catherine has continued to write consistently, and has performed in various nightclubs throughout Melbourne, networking and collaborating with fellow urban artists, writers and producers.
Catherine Chamoun has written and recorded alongside various artists and producers - Prince Ali, on various tracks, Ricki-Lee, Israel, Gary Pinto, Paul Wiltshire, Rudy, Cristian Alexanda, Stan Bravo, GMC, Phinesse and Sheeq, and is currently shopping a large catalogue of material.
Featured on RICKI-LEES debut self titled album, is track 3 titled 'CAN YOU FEEL IT?' a song written by Catherine Chamoun early 2005, also features Catherine's backing vocals along with Israel's production.
Also featuring on the Nu Firm Mixtape -Operation Save Music! (available now) is 'Cheat On' an original track of Catherine's. Catherine Chamoun's recent contribution as a writer and vocalist on Stan Bravo's upcoming album 'The Messenger', due out 2007, will definitely make an anticipated impact on the Australian urban music scene. "Good Luv" (a track co written by Catherine feat. on Stan Bravo's album) was also performed at the 2006 Urban Music Awards.
Aiming her music at the R&B/Hip Hop club scene, Catherine's tracks sound current, whilst claiming their own ground, with catchy hooks, witty lyrics which are playfully sexy, and intricate original melodies - the sound created is inimitable.
