For any readers I've acquired here:

I'm considering moving to another blog space. Whether I will or not depends on a few things. In the meantime, I was blogging on college football just a little bit on my ESPN.com profile before joining Orble, and so will likely pick up over there for a while until I find an option that's right for me. However, I will not be using Orble anymore.

The ESPN blog has always been a bit more Michigan-oriented, but I will try to do a little of what you've seen here. If I find a blogging option that suits me, I'll post it there.

That MAD pic looks like it'd be George W. Bush as a kid. And if the average American is GWB as a kid...holy wow, no wonder the nation is so effed up...

Actually, I do think the average American is a moron, or at least the average one 30 yrs old and younger is. Seems like Orble is an Aussie site or something, so I'll just say I am American but this is how I feel anyway. And a lot of that relates to who we've been allowing to get into powerful positions. They make idiotic decisions that have resulted in intelligence and receiving a good education not being important, necessary or almost even possible anymore. But exploring that issue honestly could be an entire post by itself.

In the US, celebs have pretty much nothing to do with how people vote, or whether or not they do so. People here believe that celebs should not have opinions on anything. Yet, celebs increasingly pull this kind of crap every season. It has nothing to do with what Alba looks like, either--voting is a personal choice. If someone doesn't want to vote, they don't feel like the victims of bondage. She just needs a life.

I'm getting notifications for every little thing, from "traffic stats" and "writer stats" to comment notifications on my blog and blogs I've responded to. I have tried to check no on all of these kinds of things so that my inbox won't be full. I came here specifically to see if anyone else was having this problem--apparently so...

I don't like the NFL at all, and I have really tried to. The problem is I became a college football fan first, and so I see becoming a NFL fan as moving backwards in terms of the level of drama/excitement. I also can't imagine sitting around all day on Saturday watching TV, and then coming and doing it again on Sunday. Then there's the problem of not being able to muster up a deep attachment to any NFL team like the built-in one to the Michigan Wolverines, having been at the school when I became a fan and, thus, being unable to escape Michigan football questions, comments, fanatics, etc.

I think this is going to be another one of those seasons, where every week ranked teams are dropping like flies.
