Ashley Kaufmann

There are rumours floating around that Lindsay Lohan's father Michael may have fathered an illegitimate child called Ashley. I'm shocked, are you shocked?
What I also find shocking is that the loving mother of the child in question has taken her story public, to OK magazine of all places.
Apparently the mother, Kristi Kaufmann, met Michael in the '80s and then again in 1994, when they began their relationship. He told her that he had separated from wife Dina.
Yeah, yeah, that's what they all say.
So anyway, when she told him that she was pregnant, he did what any honourable man would do, disappeared into the night never to be heard from again. Well, ok, maybe not, but in a perfect world he would have, and then Kristi could have lied to her child that her father was a good man and not the douchebag that is reality.
Kristi has said she had to go public with this as Michael would not "live up to his obligations". I mean, I totally believe that her motivation has the child’s best interests at heart and not the money that she stands to gain from interviews. Who wouldn't want to be related to the Lohans. There is something about that family and so it would seem, anyone that comes into contact with them. They are all media whores.
Seriously, does the fact that the child has been curled in the foetal position rocking backwards and forwards crying since she found out not tell them anything?
So here are a couple of pictures, the first of Ashley, kindly donated to OK magazine by her mother and a second of Michael Lohan by some guy who gets paid to take pictures of people.

Indiana Jones - WTF???

June 4th 2008 06:24
WARNING - THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS ABOUT THE MOVIE, SO IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS, DON'T READ ANY FURTHER!!!

Indiana Jones

I know my blog is about celebrities, and I am definitely not a movie reviewer, but I needed to get some more opinions on this movie. So guys, I am asking for you help, give me your thoughts on the new movie. Did you like it? Why or why not?

I have never seen an Indiana Jones movie before last night and thought I might as well start now, mostly because people have raved about them for years. So off I toddled to the theatre with my sister and a friend, got my frozen coke and popcorn and sat back to enjoy what was sure to be the start of my own love affair with Indy. But alas, it was not to be.

The cinema was full, the usual pre-movie soundtrack of people munching on popcorn or rustling bags of lollies accompanied by the occasional slurp of coke. The anticipation in the cinema was high, I could feel it, and I too was excited.

The movie begins and all is promising. The action is set in a top secret army base and already Indy has been caught, how will he manage to escape this time? He finds what he is told to and we see that it is a mummified object, fits well with the archeology theme, but the fact that the mummy was wrapped in duct tape worries me a little, but I go with it, because after all, it is an Indiana Jones movie.

The movie progresses and builds up a fascinating storyline. It's funny and action packed and I want more. I am sitting on the edge of my seat when the story starts to reach its climax. My fellow cinema goers are deadly silent. Not a peep out of any of them. Everyone is engrossed in the storyline. We all know that the conclusion, the big secret is going to blow our minds.

And that it does, but not the way I'd hoped. They decided that the best way to sum up a story about a lost city made of gold and the power to rule it and to access the technology was to say that it was aliens.

That's right - Aliens.

Are you freaking kidding me? I was so disappointed. I thought that is was lazy and that Indy fans everywhere deserved my better then a half assed ending where everything is blamed on the aliens. Where is the brilliance in that?

I stared at the screen is disbelief when the portal to another dimension opened, sucked up the Russians, when the bad lady's eyes caught on fire and when the flying saucer emerged from the ruins of an ancient city.

Absolutely ridiculous.

I was devastated and am sure that I will not be watching and more of the films now. This was a chance for the franchise to gain a whole new legion of much younger fans, but it fell so short of the mark that I am still shaking my head is disbelief. Aliens?

And don't even get me started on the giant ants that eat people.

So what are your thoughts on the movie, do you agree with me, or did I miss the point entirely, is the brilliance of the idea so amazing that it just went straight over my head?

Jessica Alba
Jessica Alba

So it appears that Jessica Alba has sneakily gotten married to her fiance and father of her unborn baby, Cash Warren.
According to People magazine, Alba's rep Brad Cafarelli confirmed that the couple had "wed quietly on Monday".
Sneaky, sneaky. I know that celebs have little to no privacy and like to get one up on the general public every so often, but having to get married secretly to avoid the media craze is becoming more and more common. Take Beyonce and Jay-Z, Ashley Simpson and Pete Wentz, and that's just in the last month or so.
I find it interesting that they got married on a Monday. Who does that? Well, I guess rich and famous people do just because they can and all their friends don't have to work on a monday either.
I may be generalising just a little bit. And also, why now? When she is about to pop out her baby? It's got to be getting very close. Why not wait til after like everyone else does? Any theories?
I wonder if she is going to take his last name - Jessica Warren, how very Stepford Wives sounding.

Beyonce

So rumour has it that the bootilicious one, Beyonce, is pregnant. I'm not so sure I believe this. I mean, honestly, we are told that celebs are preggers all the time and more often then not, it's a lie. I found this one on celeb gossip site www.hollyscoop.com

Pussycat Dolls
Pussycat Dolls

The Pussycat Dolls are a group renowned for being raunchy, they started off as a burlesque group. So why is it that they are being fined and criticised for being too sexy in a performance in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia?
I am well aware that it is a Muslim country, but the people who bought tickets to the concert and decided that they wanted to have the group do a concert there would have been well aware what type of performance the girls did

Trashy Celebs

March 7th 2008 04:37
I was wandering around the Orble world earlier this morning and found myself reading KylieW's post about K-Fed getting fat.
It got me thinking about a TV show which I am sure would make for awesome viewing.
I want to see Jerry Springer probing into to lives of celebs and bringing out all of their ex's to dish the dirt. I want to see brawls between family members and obviously the occasional trannie

My promise to the Orble Community

March 7th 2008 01:38
I know that I haven't posted in ages, but I have been so busy with uni. Excuses, excuses - I know. But I can change, really I can.

I promise to stop being so slack and serve you your dose of celebrity gossip with a side of sarcasm on a more regular basis. I also promise to contribute more to other sites because I currently read the posts and vote but don't leave a comment because I often feel like I have nothing to really contribute to the conversation.

Since my last post fueled much speculation on Tom, Katie and Suri, I thought I would post the original conspiracy theory I read and let you guys dissect it. Below is the theory by Janet Charlton of Janet Charlton's Hollywood
Ok, we weren't going to bother spreading this story, but whenever we tell it to anyone they encourage us to do so. So here we go. Keep in mind this is a RUMOR, but it explains a lot. The story goes that when Katie Holmes split with her exboyfriend Chris Klein in March 2005, she may or may not have realized she was pregnant with his baby. She started dating Tom in April, 2005, and according to this tale, when Tom found out she was expecting, he not only didn't MIND , but he insisted on taking credit for the pregnancy. They abruptly got engaged in June 2005. Since the baby was scheduled to be born too soon into their relationship, Tom and Katie faked the birth date. She actually gave birth months EARLIER than the announced birth. She wore padding for the last few months after the REAL birth, and made sure she was photographed. In case you don't remember, Suri's announced April 18 birth was oddly undocumented - there were no hospital records or specifics. Where WAS Suri born? Tom and Katie didn't want their baby photographed because it would be apparent that Suri wasn't newborn. After a few months it's not so easy to recognize a baby's exact age. Have you noticed that Suri has uniquely slanted eyes like Chris Klein? Keep in mind this is simply a rumor - form your own conclusions.

Hey MNG,

Great question. I agree with Cibbuano, Indiana Jones sucks the big one. I was so disappointed. I don't think I have been that mad when I left a cinema in a long time. I even posted about it, even though it was totally off topic for my blog.
Man, I'm getting mad from the crap and laziness all over again.

Cheers,

Hi Starlet,

How honest of you to start a blog like this. A great idea. I am really impressed. I am also pretty sure that this is how Diablo Cody, the woman that wrote Juno, got her start, except I think she was a stripper. But anyway, congrats and I look forward to reading more from you.

Hi Aimzster,

Thanks for stopping by. I'm glad it's not just me then.
I read a heap of reviews before seeing it and saw that most of them were raving about it.
But now, in hindsight, I see that it was the reviewers who are likely to get monetary kickbacks if they publicly praise the movie who "loved it".
I too could love just about anything if I were being paid to do it.

Cheers,

Hey Kylie,

I didn't see your post before I did mine, they pretty much say the same thing. I swear, it is just spooky co-incidence.

Cheers,
Bec

Hey Kylie,

I was a little shocked at first that you had taken her side. You tricked me, and then I nearly fell of my chair laughing. Way to go when you are trying to convince people that you are actually doing work. Lol.

on A racist waiting to happen?

March 7th 2008 05:09
That's a tough one. I would agree with the others that it normal to take the piss on a nationality so long as no one is hurt or offended by it. While it may be deemed as un PC to do this, it is part of being an Aussie. Where would we be if we couldn't take the micky out of Kiwis and them us? I think the line between racism and piss taking is often blurred. I think that a lot of people are confused by this blurred line and rightly so, so maybe let them know that the joke has gone a little to far. In my opinion as long as the piss taking is harmless then it is not racist. Great post
Cheers,
Bec
