Reading Between The Lines
July 24th 2010 22:41
Southwest Airlines, which drew criticism when it kicked overweight director Kevin Smith from its flight, is about to get another earful. Now the airline removed a petite woman for a hefty 14 year-old that required 2 seats. Although the situation was handled inappropriately, one should read between the lines.
The woman was flying standby and the 14 year-old was a late arriving passenger that required 2 seats. More than likely the girl had paid for the two seats. Either way it was wrong and Southwest did issue an apology for the situation.
