am I who I would like to be?
am I where I would like to be?
my mother baptized me . .
without my permission!
that was just one of . .
the many things about which . .
I had no say !
fortunately . .
I wasn’t born . .
in a God forsaken place!
where I was born
even us poor were privileged
compared to some . .
the ancient Chinese said
“China is the center of the earth”
whilst a wise . .
American Indian once said
“The center of the earth . .
is wherever you are standing”
I suppose the trick is to . .
make where you are standing
the center of your earth . .
it is all relative.
so here I am . .but
am I who I would like to be?
am I where I would like to be?
And if not . .
Whose fault is it.
