So, I wrote a blog, then I saved the draft, chose my signature and clicked on create post. My post is nowhere to be found. However, I know that it told me the draft was saved at 22:57, so how do I find the draft to repost it? Why didn't it post in the first place?
I watched the first few episodes of HBO's True Blood a few weeks ago when it came out on DVD. It inspired me to order the books by Charlaine Harris. I have also read all of the Twilight Saga books and am eagerly awaiting Edward's story. Nonetheless, Charlaine Harris' work was very original and well done. So, when I saw that the series BloodTies was out on DVD (tomorrow, actually), I felt that I should try it out, as well.
It is very Angelisc for those of us who recall the boyfriend of Buffy! There were some slight twists, though. The acting was excellent. I always wonder how it is that one that portray someone who fights and slays Medusa while keeping a straight face. I am also very fascinated by the entire mythical world when I view these shows. However, I am not fascinated enough by them to try to read and learn more about it. However, I was slightly taken in by BloodTies.
This series was about a cop turned private investigator who tries to turn hero in a dark alley one night. This action leads Vicki Nelson to Henry Fitzroy, a, big suprise, vampire. Of course, small town here and all, I am wondering if I should start looking for these books. I believe it stems from the enjoyment I get from the aggressive female portrayed by Vicki Nelson. She shows herself to be brave and spirited. She is, of course, the good guy. The ever stable, ever reliable hero. You know that she is going to save the day. Yet, she also has moments where you can see the vulnerable side of her. Let's face it, we all hide parts of ourself and we tend to try to hide our weaknesses the most. The same is true for Vicki Nelson. The actress does a great job portraying someone who is putting on a good front, but really desires someone to save her. Of course, she does get saved multiple times as she seems to be quickly getting herself in a love triangle between Henry and her former partner on the local police force.
Ladies, Henry is well worth the show! There are multiple times during the season where Henry's clothes are shredded off of him by some evil culprit or another. Of course, it doesn't hurt that he is also a very sexual creature. He makes no qualms about wanting Vicki who resists him throughout Season 1.
So, in addition to serving as a private investigator who fights evil mythical creatures, Vicki is also a woman fighting her own urges and needs. Henry, of course, is a good vampire, who avoids killing others to eat. For those faithful followers of Angel, it may or may not be up to your standards. I would not know, having only watched a few episodes of it myself. However, it is quite pleasantly entertaining. I certainly enjoyed it and hope that you will, as well. Afterall, I stayed up until 2am on a work night to watch all episodes of it.

So, the big name movie coming to DVD this week is he's just not that into you]starring such names as Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, and Ben Affleck. I watch the previews of movies. Most men do not like to watch them, but they are generally a good indicator of what else is out there that might be worth seeing. Obviously, the previews of he's just not that into youwhen it hit theaters had people wanting to see it (much like people have been asking about Madea goes to Jail for weeks now) and made them aware of its existence. It was an okay movie and may have offered girls in the dating world some insight into the world of guys...as in don't try to read too much into things that the opposite sex says or does...take it at face value.
Nonetheless, I did watch the previews. The previews of this movie showcased the movie Defiance. In the previews, this movie is fast-paced and full of action. It is about these brothers who lead a group of refugees and show thm how to survive in the woods where they grew up as small boys. Of course, all of this takes place in Nazi Germany. Apparently, Tom Cruise is not the only one getting into the action of World War II. It appears to be a good movie despite seeming low budget. It is sometimes suprising how some low budget films can be so great! So, of course, I got the movie... [ Click here to read more ]
I am from a small town where there is generally not a lot to do. However, between work and keeping things clean at the house, there is not a lot of time left for other purposes. I frequently bring home movies that I decide later were a complete waste of what little time I had left for myself that time...I am known for saying " I could have been sleeping." Anyway, the goal of my blog will be to help others make good choices in their viewing preferences. I will focus primarily on movies that will be coming out on DVD the following week. For example, next week the movies Your text goes hereDefiance and he's just not that into you will be released on DVD. However, which is the better choice? Which is more entertaining for you? I hope that I will be able to rate each movie and help you make a choice because if you are like me, you don't want to go anywhere once you get home and settle in for the evening and there's not too much to do anyway. We do not have a theater here, so the local video rental store is how we manage to see a lot of things unless we travel to a neighboring town. Best of luck and I hope you find this site to be useful for you!
