Rant of the Week

Hi Folks
Well I can honestly say I am glad to see the back of those so called "PILGRIMS" and the POPE and I am sincerely hoping that niether them or him come back to visit our shores anytime soon.
I can't believe that it is being hailed as a success because 500,000 people showed up to Randwick yesterday for mass. What would have been good would have been to have a few horses putting on an exhibition gallop between prayers or something and imagine how many more problem gamblers we could have created if we'd have had bookies there (although they would have preferred the previous Pope as they would have been able to frame a market on how long it took him to fall asleep and just how often he would fall asleep). Even better still would have been to have World Youth Day Handicap between some of our best horses and the pope mobile.
The thing that made me most upset bloggers was that everyone seemed to think it was fantastic of the Pope to apologise for the years of abuse that has been going on by his deputies over the years. All these potential victims who attended thought it was so wonderful and how great a man he is because he has admitted the wrong doings that go on within the catholic church. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Give me a break...............
Saying sorry means nothing because as the old adage says actions speak louder than words. This is the same organisation who go to any lengths to protect and cover up any scandal that threatens there world and ideals. These people make me sick.
They seem to think that they are above the law or worse still a law unto themselves. If a priest goes and molests or abuses someone they go to a priest and confess and then the priest is bound not to break that covenent because of the oath they swear by.
Yet if anyone else hears of a crime that is committed and doesn't report it they can be charged as either an accessory or an accessory after the fact.
When they do get caught the Catholic Church circles the wagons real quick and do all they can to protect the accused and their own reputation. They send them off to a new parish or send them off to a rural retreat where they learn to overcome this disease. First of all its not a disease its a CRIME people. Second of all they are not going to be miraculously cured by going to a retreat where they will be told that they are bad and shouldn't be doing this because its naughty. Thirdly where is the justice for all these victims??????
Where was the justice for that poor young girl who ended up taking her life when she was raped and abused by her priest??? All the church had to say was that she wont get into heaven because she committed the gravest sin of all. What about handing over the priest who committed this terrible act to face the full extent of the law??
No I am affraid that in my opinion that when it comes to morals and ethics that this organisation is out of touch with what is right and what is wrong. The only thing they are in touch with are the youth of today............
