Ronnie Brown out for the season

November 19th 2009 01:29
Ronnie Brown is out for the rest of the season which will hurt the Miami Dolphins very badly. First Brown is an outstanding running back and 2nd he is an important cog in the Dolphins Wildcat Formation. Brown can run or even pass and makes the Wildcat go for the Dolphins. If you would like to see more on the Wildcat, then click this link. It has not been announced what the exact injury to Ronnie Brown is.

Ronnie Brown was first thought to be only mildly injured but the Dolphins have announced he is out for the season. Ronnie Brown’s season ending injury will pave the way for Ricky Williams to show what he has left in the tank.

Ricky Williams was once a franchise back who liked smoking the Rasta more than playing football. Ricky Williams has shown flashes of greatness while sharing the backfield with Ronnie Brown.

Look for the Dolphins to become more of an inside running team with Ricky Williams as the starter. Williams lacks the outside speed of Brown and is a decent between the tackles runner. Even if Williams can come through for the team, the loss of Ronnie Brown for the season will really hurt the Dolphins.

Week 11 Fantasy Football tips

November 18th 2009 15:51
Thanks for checking out my free fantasy football tips for week 11 of the 2009 NFL season. I have played fantasy football since the days of calling in lineups when nobody had the internet. I write fantasy football and regular football articles and play in 3 leagues per season. I feel I am qualified to give fantasy football tips and will even answer specific fantasy football questions here at this article.

But this piece is fantasy football tips for week 11 of your 2009 NFL season. And of course this is free fantasy football advice; feel free to leave a comment at the end of this article. These week 11 fantasy football tips will cover quarterback, running back, and wide receiver. If you have a question about kickers, tight ends or defense just ask it in the comments.

Must Starts for your week 11 Fantasy Football season

Quarterback

Of course you always want to start Peyton Manning but this week in particular as he is playing an average pass defense for the Ravens. You should always start Tom Brady on your fantasy football team as well, but you knew that.

Matt Ryan may be a good start in week 11 of your fantasy football league. The Falcons are taking on a less than impressive secondary of the New York Giants. I am a little concerned with the injury bug in Atlanta though.

Look for Carson Palmer to put up good numbers against the Raiders

Your quarterbacks are usually set so I won’t go into much on them. If you have a specific quarterback question for week 11 of your fantasy football season, just leave it in the comments and I will get back to you.

Must Start Running Backs for week 11 of the Fantasy Football season

Ricky Williams will be the feature back against a bad run stopping team in Carolina. Look for Williams to put up 120 yards and 2 scores against the Panthers.

I really like Chris “Beanie” Wells in week 11 against the Rams. Wells has been improving each week and getting more playing time. I think he can get 100 yards or so and a score or two.

I think Kevin Smith from the Lions may just have a good game against the hapless Cleveland Browns in week 11.

Must Start Wide Receivers for week 11 of your Fantasy Football season

Look for Coles to have a good game for the Bengals against the Raiders. Ochostinko will be the Raiders main focus and Coles is getting better.

Randy Moss should play well against the Jets in a rivalry game and the Patriots are coming off an embarrassing defeat so will be inspired.

You probably already start Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin but I would also give Steve Breaston some consideration in leagues with multiple receivers starting. The Cardinals are playing the Rams and should do well.

Hines Ward should be a nice start for your week 11 fantasy football team against the Chiefs. Look for Ward to catch 8 balls for 110 yards and at least one touchdown.

Larry Johnson to the Bengals

November 17th 2009 01:45
Larry Johnson will be joining another former troubled running back in Cedric Benson on the Bengals roster. Johnson had trouble last season with not hitting women but the Chiefs kept him. This season Larry Johnson insulted his coach and the gay community on Twitter and was suspended then released.

As a Chiefs fan I have followed Larry Johnson’s career and I saw hogwash to him being washed up. Larry Johnson will give the Bengals a quality backup capable of running for 100 yards a game.

Larry Johnson was averaging only 2.9 yards per carry in 2009 with the Chiefs. But he did average 4.5 yards per carry in 2008 on the bad Chiefs team. The Chiefs are a terrible team and Johnson was keyed on.

Larry Johnson will look much better behind a Bengals offensive line and with a team that actually has a passing game. I think the Bengals picking up Larry Johnson is an excellent move by a team positioning itself for a playoff run.

When Cedric Benson was injured the Bengals didn’t stand pat. I commend them for making the move to sign Larry Johnson to help keep the team competitive. It reminds me of the Patriots signing Corey Dillon off the scrap heap a few years ago. And even farther back the Giants signing Otis Anderson years ago.

Week 9 musings

November 9th 2009 14:19
My thoughts after week 9 of the 2009 NFL season.

It was good to see Tampa get their first win and sad that it had to be Green Bay but the Packers need some offensive linemen before they can be considered a good team. I really loved the orange throwback uniforms that Tampa wore in their first win of the 2009 NFL season. I wish the Bucs had never changed from those uniforms. Josh Freeman had an excellent debut against the Packers. Freeman completed 14 of 31 for 205 yards and 3 scores for Tampa Bay

Gun Control won't stop mass shootings

November 8th 2009 22:39
It seems like every time some nut job goes on a mass shooting in America, the liberals start screaming for more gun control. On a writers forum I attend we were discussing the Fort Hood Shooting. One blubbering idiot started off her post by saying she was from near Waco Texas but didn’t own guns so we didn’t have to worry about her.

Ok folks here is the truth; gun control will never work in America. There are too many guns on the street for it to ever work. Granted liberals really want law abiding citizens to be disarmed so there can be more anarchy. But let’s pretend that liberals really think gun control can stop mass shootings

NFL power rankings

November 8th 2009 13:18
Welcome to my NFL power rankings for week 9 of the 2009 NFL season. I will rank the teams from worst to first and tell you why. If for some odd reason you don’t agree with my week 9 NFL power rankings then please leave a comment below.

32 The worst team in the NFL is of course the winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They rank last on my week 9 NFL power rankings. The team purged some high priced veterans and hired a kid to coach them

Reflections on week 8

November 2nd 2009 16:04
Here are some of my reflections for week 8 of the 2009 NFL season. Julius Peppers had a good game for the Panthers against the Arizona Cardinals. Jake Delhomme who has been catching all kinds of hell from me and most other Panthers fans also had a solid game. Too bad Jake Delhomme was injured in his best game in 2009.

Brett Favre showed once again he can step up in a big game when he helped the Vikings defeat the Packers. I can’t stand Favre’s prima donna drama queen ways but damn the man can still play in the NFL

The next time Mexico pisses us off we should make them take California back, that would fix them. California is such a terrible place, I wish it was not part of America.

I had rather hoped that you would write about Union members attacking people at town hall meetings. One of the incidents did happen in your home town.
