This is the consensus of what is usually projected as the 1001 of writing a good essay: no. 1 introduction, middle/body and conclusion; no. 2 make a essay plan; no.3 have clear argument no.4 always use examples to back up claims ... no.5 … no.6 …etc This seems to be the first things that when you go to university within the transition from high school, lecturers place so much emphasis on, that is on your essay writing ability. Now that I’ve finished my 5 year essay writing journey, I ask myself now after that five years of university which involved writing that many essays I’ve lost count and memory on my memory stick with (some good and some not so good depending on what is deemed so to be by the so called expert essay writers!!!) and told how to write a essay in so many different way to make your head spin in confusion, what was the actual purpose of all this good, essay structure, good essay planning, good critical analysis and thinking. In addition, I realize now how subjective the matter of what is a ‘good essay’ and who is good essay writer. All this good articulation (what i have come to call 'overt articulation'), expression and verbosity. Think about when was the last time you actually read an essay that wasn’t in a form of assessment or marking criteria. And then ask who actually reads essays, the marker, the tutor the lecturer/professor. Why is the essay so important, why do they place so much on essay writing ability as I’ve found it doesn’t matter which subject you completing, good essay writing is deemed an essential part of the student-lecturer experience. Good essay writing seems only important for those/us academics and not of much use to average every day persons and their working lives. When was the last time you read or wrote an essay that was wasn’t for university or high school. Thus having good essay writing ability seems only useful for those wanting to be an academic, not everyday professionals and workers …etc Who when they go to university wants to become an academic, I’m guessing the minority while the majority to want to just pass and get a degree in their field of choice. Hence it seems a useless utility to me within the broad spectrum of everyday real life situation when writing is required.

The 'French Kiss': Who Invented it and What Was it meant to Symbolise?

A cliché term used two describe the passionate-sexual embrace of two tongues. The 'French' part of the phrase meaning to do something very sexual and naughty in nature, referenced to anything French. As some historical findings claim that its usage dates back to the 1730-1820 English French period. And then continued to be used during the 1930's through to the World Two period and followed on from there and now has became a pop-culture teenage adage. While labeled by some as a 'freedom kiss" meant to stand for freedom of expression within a liberal society between two people. So once associated with origins of decadence which was deemed always the French way of doing things, now seems to stand forfreedom of expression. So ‘Is the 'French Kiss' a Freedom Of Expression or Act of Decadence?’ Whoever invented or phrased the term must of either had something against the French, admired or envied them. When they attached anything the French did as being immoral and dirty. That is if the ‘French kiss’ has its French origins. There is not much documented evidence to back up any of these claims. Most of this is just speculation. To think we don’t really don’t know that much about something that is probably enacted on second by second basis by millions of people. Yet most experts still don’t know the exact origins and meaning of the phrased ‘French Kiss’ and where it originated from, a term used repeatedly by so many, that embrace it so much.
