Today my dad and I were talking "albums" and how many of them in my collection were censored or banned for one reason or another. Some were banned because of lyrics while others had censored album cover art. My parents were staunchly opposed to censorship of any kind. I reaped the benefit of my parents'' beliefs. Many of my prized albums were purchased at a local head shop (Dr. Feelgood's was my shop of choice). It was illegal to enter a head shop unless you were 18 years old so my parents would purchase these now beloved records on my behalf.

Sunday Songs for the Lazy

Hey folks! Sunday is generally my favorite day of the week. Usually I spend the day with family, friends, and sports. I like to do a whole lot of nothing. I look forward to completjng domestic tasks or puttering around the house... cooking, doing laundry, or take a nap...maybe write a blog entry...watch some Food Network....whatever.... I hope that you guys had a wonderful Sunday no matter where you are!

When The Saints Come Marching In

All Saints Day is historically the day that my family does the annual "walk of death". We get dressed up and go to the family cemetary and "visit" all of my dead relatives and then proceed to discuss all of the particulars of our preplanned death preparations with the funeral director. We retell family stories and end this fun filled day with a family lunch.
