Stanza 10

As down into the world I go
Dying
Flying
Oh so slowly
Revolving and turning over end on end
Anima Mundi, the soul of the world
Do I here sink into
To reverse creations magic wheel
To know the message that it hides locked away in its eternal bosom
I look around me as all the towers weep
All mankind is still ignorant of the sacred way
They are but fools waiting to be resurrected
Look as I dance among the stones
The putrid flesh and the broken bones
Fools are always caught and by mortality to be affected
Fifty-two elements shall I take

Then with all combined
In the body
Mind
And soul
A child in my form I shall create

As we further unfold and grow we reach a seeming impasse where we need to go beyond the body and into its other realms, these realms are above us, beyond us and within us, but most of us do not know what these realms represent. This is a crucial point for the budding alchemist because if you stay here, as some people have you will stagnate and wither and die. This is the fool standing on the precipice wanting to jump but having a fear to do so, but jump you must. Even with the broken bones of others who have jumped before in sight, you still must take the risk and attempt to fly into the world, you may surprise yourself, and develop wings and soar into the past/present/future of your truth. All the so called cautionary tales that stop progress here can be seen as blockages on the way, there are a billion theories and ideas and whole philosophies based on the concept of not jumping off. But the child approaches the precipice with an open eye and heart and casually jumps into the unknown thus expanding their own consciousness and awareness.

Exercise # 10……… I want you to find at least five philosophies or belief systems, in which caution or denial is advised before the abyss. Ask yourself why? Why is it that these teachings want to stop you from following the passion of the heart? I can tell you it’s basically because the ignorant and the foolish follow the thinking, whereas the wise one and the wise fool follow the heart. Remember thinking can be modified and adapted, or abused. But what you feel, is real, even if it’s a fantasy, your feeling will tell you it is real and if you then follow what you feel, to the letter, without waver, without question it will and must put you in the position of the right place, at the right time, with the right people and everything should fall into place. This is I believe the basic and eternal energy behind the universe.

Psychological alchemy prologue stanza 9

January 12th 2007 20:34
Stanza 9

Coiled in the ancient earth
Buried in the Caer Caverna
A dragon wakes from his troubled sleep
To join the mortal child and its lonely sacred vigil keep
For upon the highest mountain behold me as I stand
A little golden flame is resting in my palm
I wait to follow whatever the universe and the Goddess command
It is I who gave you substance
It is I who gives you form
In order to repay me
You must rise above the surging morass
Here waiting at the dawn of time
Here breathing at the end of space
I stand on the edge of the eternity
Between the chasms of the soul
I as mortal am blessed with a harmony
Of the world that I command
I am the first
I am the last
I am the role in which humanity has been made
Here I am the ruler upon the sea of fate
Through the self I am the builder and destroyer of both capital and country
I am the formulated foundation
Of every garden, hearth and culture
That covers and crosses this fragile but beauteous earth
For fifty two times
Of the classical delight
To the recording of an old ones birth
So do I see?
So mote it be?

Here we stand in the presence and the power of the eternal now, we acknowledge those who have built the alchemical edifice before us, those also who have toiled away at the alchemical coalface, making and preparing the way for us to follow. Each of us here must recognise our own thoughts and feelings about the truth that we bring to the alchemical mixture, for even though we follow in the footsteps of others we also lay the foundation for those to follow, and follow they will, as surely as the dawn raises on each day. We are the first and the last, in the sense of our involvement begins and ends with us, but we must also be aware that we not just the first and last in the unfolding journey. Millions have gone before and many millions more will follow. As those who have gone before have been added to the mix, so also those who follow will further add to the mix.

Exercise # 9………….. Having nurtured the soil and cleansed it, and still working on the gem, holding it, cleansing it, imagining it pulsing with light and energy, imagining it sitting in the body shedding its effusive energy throughout every cell and being within the body. Having also cleansed the cauldron or the pot, we are now ready to prepare ourselves for entering onto the path of the journey in earnest; from now on we are going to be using meditation and visualisation as a basis for the journey. I want you to meditate on the soil, visualise it being pure and full of all the nutrients that healthy soil requires. I want you to meditate on the cauldron, and visualise it overflowing with whatever is needed to accomplish the journey you are on. (For those who don’t know how, meditation is simply the act of watching the breathing, relaxing into the breath, and allowing the breath to find its own natural cycle it is also a continuous and profound contemplation or musing on a subject or series of subjects of a deep or abstruse nature. Visualisation is the art of imagining an event as being real so that you can feel and see what you feel and see, it is as well a mental image that is similar to a visual perception)

Stanza 8

Here is a strange world
Blended with an earth and sky
Transuniverse dimensions are so apt to always go askew
After the beginning
Here I am twisting in the nothing/chaos/void
To leave my home entombed within a sacred bleeding Caer
Here to create a child with mind, body and soul
Whose world will be constantly mutated to create a psychic storm?
See the breathing pulse of life all filled with the sacred word
That all the living creatures were created to echo their song across the universes
Then from my mortal form the pulse so faint began to spread
As unto the twisting earth
Three mortal drops are left to flow
Two are white
One is red
Virganic milk as pure as pure can be
Sulphur in another guise
Seminal fluid flowing from the sacred tree
Mercury to blind your eyes
The menstrual blood turning inwardly outward things those others cannot touch
And salt to turn the fool to wise
See them all Mixing with the clay
Then mingling with the mud
The journey it is slow
And in its immortal form combine
Like a precious little jewel full of incandescent light
It turns
It glows
It dances
Showering its light in a thousand different directions
And then in a flash all of eternal present is multiplied
These three single elements that have whole histories of sacredness
Even in the depths of winter
They turn and echo
Vibrating in the growing light
To flow and wash into the virgin soil
Oh so swiftly out of mortal sight
It lays there for countless millennia
Then look the earth begins to shift
It is taking another shape and form
As a bolt of lightning struck
It ignited the spark and from the elements is born
An androgynous mortal rising gives homage to the daylight

As we develop and grow our resources of self awareness we can find ourselves unsure of where and what we are doing, it all seems so vast and mind-blowing. Here we are getting to some of the gritty nuts and bolts of alchemy, and we start to see the power that is inherent within each and every one of us. The three ingredients are essential, they are the building blocks of the entire alchemical process, and in symbolic terms they are the most powerful of originating energies. The three ingredients mentioned are also calculated in the fact that Mercury is the male energy, the active positive principle; it’s the semen, because it provides the spark of life in the egg and stimulates the creative forces of the universe. Salt is the female energy, the negative principle; it’s the menstrual blood, because it contains the blueprint of life, life in potentia, (but it needs the spark to kick it into action). Sulphur is the neutral principle; it’s the Virganic milk, because it is the blending energy, it contains both the male and the female in one, it is also the hermaphrodite, that throughout the magnum opus we are going to encounter. But of course it must be said the three elements are useless unless a fourth is added, and this has to be the individual’s energy and being. For although the three are very powerful both singly and united it needs the individual consciousness to enter into the mix, for it is the individual energy that allows for growth and change to occur. Most of us are waiting for the right time to be born and reborn, although as all the great spiritual teachers have told us, in the universe of metaphysics there is no past or future, everything is and only can be done in the now. Even though the power of this presence needs to be nurtured and cultivated the more work spent in this stage is of the utmost importance, as we need the soil to be as close to pure as possible.

Exercise # 8……. If you can do it I want you to obtain physically some menstrual blood, some seminal fluid and some virgin’s milk (this is milk produced by a non-pregnant but lactating virgin). You may also obtain if you wish some Mercury to represent the male energy, some Salt to represent the female energy, and some Sulphur for the hermaphroditic energy. If this is a bit squeamish you can substitute with some coloured dyes, one red, one cream and one white, even candles can be used as long as they are of the appropriate colours. You are to mix the three ingredients, colours, wax or whatever you have that represents the elements involved. As they are stirring and mixing I want you to imagine a fourth energy emanating from you and as well mixing with the other three sources? As for the fourth energy (this could be your own personal sweat) your energy enters into the dynamics, I want you to imagine that the whole process changes and becomes a breathing, conscious and aware pool of light and energy.

psychological alchemy prologue stanza 1

December 1st 2006 20:30
PROLOGUE

The prologue has to introduce the characters of which of course there is only one, the Merlin . It plainly sets out to convey the energy and the power behind the Merlin, it will be noticed that in reality the Merlin is neither male nor female but is in fact androgynous. For in creations making, we are all of one and the same. It is also the fact that it is, or rather was our form, before we split into the division of the sexes this is why a lot of humans feel incomplete and even only half themselves. It tells of the purpose of the work, (or correctly it is the magnum opus or great work) which is of course to recreate the body, mind, soul and spirit through four levels rather than the standard one used by others. The only person speaking is the Merlin and the Merlin is addressing the Merlin as a child, born of time immortal, androgynous and eternal. The Merlin tells the Merlin that the only means to travel are in the power of the ship of the soul, which in real terms is the imagination and the power of dreams. It is through this source of power that the Merlin can achieve anything set before it, any power new or old, and follow the power of the tide of birth and death. There is also in the prologue the sense of the fearful opening of the opus as well as the fertile chaos of a disruptive creation. It is interesting to note that there are potential schizophrenic dangers in dealing with the Merlins art, but it is also the energy of the potential to reconcile opposites and integrate your own journey
