Queens and kings of our lives

Isn't that what we are - queens and kings of our lives?
We reign over the choices we make. We decide who we make friends with and who we push out of our lives. We stagnate, rest or move forward according to our will. We make plans, we erase plans. We conquer by learning. We achieve through determination...and faith in ourselves. We lose only when we give up on hope. We battle when we are fearful. We are victorious in things that bring joy to our lives. We defeat all sorts of things like despair, anger, stagnation, negativity... We inspire others. We also know others despise us. We are triumphant in love. We reign over the choices we make.
Why don't we live with the full birth rights as queens and kings of our lives? Why don't we live with the powerful force of owning the rights to everything we do?
What do we want to be remembered for? A true kingdom where our love shone brightly and we touched others and they touched us in loving, spirited ways, or a false kingdom built on deceits, fears and hates where it's important to show "face" (a successful image) to hide a crumbling core.
One person can change a lot in the world they live in. They can bring love to it. Love is the crown we can wear so happily and peacefully. My mother showed me that. Though she is in Heaven, her crown of love teaches me to keep moving forward to achieve my dreams. To wear my crown of love and show it to others. It's no use being Narcissus when it comes to love. It must be shared in order to thrive and grow.
